“Nice place, can do better for food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

We've just had lunch in this nice restaurant located in the Frejus harbor. The place is lovely, sunny with some shadow under the little olive trees, the service is very good, everything is clean and well kept. The food could be better, tastier, up to the price. Fresh pasta home made (I make my own pasta), yes...but something's missing. Try one egg for 100g flour ! Put some more basil and some garlic in the sauce !

The charlotte de courgettes was tasteless, sorry ! The zucchini is not the most tasty vegetable and if you marry it with the brousse cheese, well, you got a double tasteless. The caviar d'aubergine is insipid ; add some lemon and garlic (yes, it's good) to wake it up and mary it with feta cheese and some cherry tomatoes, they go along very well. And please, prohibit the pain de mie in the kitchen ! It's a shame to use this dull ersatz of bread, not even for a piece of toast, when there are so many kinds of good bread in France !

The lobster was good, as it should be at 40€.

The conclusion is that this place deserves better food.

“Very good fish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

We were 3. I had dorado, obviously fresh, and cooked to perfection. The others had cockels and mussels with spaghetti in a cream sauce. Tasted great. Staff very good, did not speak english, but very helpful. Good atmosphere and location at the boat harbour.

“The Best High Quality Restaurant in St Raphael”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2012

After eating here since it opened over 30 years it has now developed into one of the best restauarant in the area of Frejes & St Raphael, The restaurant has had a great makeover including the menus, The fish is fresh and the chef is now one of the very best, in the area, The owner Ludvig is always there making sure all customers are happy with service and the food is correct, Jan I had the best meal over the whole ho;iday period, This is not a cheap resturant but without doubt one of the best value for money on the Cote d Azur.
A restaurant that you can set and eat quality food in a beautiful relaxed position facing the yachts in the harbor. It is always full so make a booking first.

“Excellent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2011

After being recommended the restaurant from a French colleuge we decided to go there, and we went back and ...... back.
The food was excellent, the calamares was superb together with the pasta with clams and mussels.
Strongly recommend that you make your reservation at this place if you are in Frejus!!!
