Inter Hotel Panorama

Although not the highlight of our trip, the Panorama hotel was acceptable, at a basic level. We had a reasonably large room at the back of the hotel, clean and with a good shower. The reception and common parts, however, are dingy and in dire need of renovating. The gentleman at reception when we arrived was a bit odd and I’m not sure I’d recommend this hotel to lone female travellers.

Though 1990 / 1975 are my best guesses, they might be pretty accurate.
The hotel is situated well near the old town and close to one of the perfume factories. The interior is outdated, the entrance hallway smells like cigarettes and is not very welcoming.
Though the room is with a view, the sea is missing. The sheets are clean and that is all there is to say about it.

The hotel is not clean nor welcoming in any way.

The only modern additions are wifi (good connection, no speed) and a simple flat screen tv. But those items detonate with the rest of the interior.

Book the hotel for one day maximum if you want to visit Grasse. Though this city is not wat it was only just a few years ago.

I found this accommodation on the internet a day before heading towards Grasse, and there was availability for a room for 2 persons. On arriving there at 22h30pm approximately, the hotel was closed so I rung the bell. The person that answered was very abrupt and rude, and said there was no room and should return in the morning. Quiet frankly I think the person that attended me, was not interested in going through all the trouble of taking on 2 people more that night, so much for hospitality and customer service. I headed towards Cannes after not finding anything else.

Room Tip: ....I did not stay at this hotel, was indirectly invited to go away, was too late for who ever was o...

Our room was not ready when we arrived but this was made up for by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. We were happy to find a frige in our room plus two hotplates and a sink. We were provided with a kettle and hair-drier on request. Double glazed doors kept out the noise from the busy road and roundabout outside. Parking was a problem as you had to pay 5 Euros per night to park at a station some way away which is a problem if you have much luggage. There wasn't much lighting and the air conditioner and television worked spasmodically. We didn't have breakfast so no way of commenting on it.

Room Tip: Ask for the double comfort room.

My husband & I together with 2 friends stayed here for 3 nights. We were very pleasantly surprised in view of previous reviews which we had not read until 2 nights before our journey! The lady receptionist/concierge was friendly, polite and very helpful. The gentleman too was polite and helpful. We were given spotlessly clean rooms on the 5th floor with a balcony and fabulous views. We had an extremely good breakfast brought to our rooms and ate on the balcony. A more than adequate base for visiting the area.

This hotel was strange and very dated.
The decor was very 60's and probably hasn,t been upgraded since. There was a cat, who roamed around the corridor and kitchen, staying with the owners in the room next to ours. The keys to the rooms were left unattended on the reception desk after 8.30 as the owner/manager was finished for the night.
We didn't have breakfast as we were afraid to eat in the place.
I would never consider staying there again and would advise anyone else not to. ( The only reason we stayed there was that all other accomadation in the area was booked out, otherwise we wouldn't have stayed for even one night ).
