Reviewed September 7, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We had a 2 week family holiday in Paul's lovely villa - we know the area well so it didn't take us long to familiarise the walk to town and beach .

The house itself has every thing you need , paul clearly makes an extra effort to make sure that who ever rents is very comfortable . The fridge had bare essentials on arrival ( water / milk / bread / biscuits / tea etc.. and even champagne !) which is always a nice touch .

House itself was beautiful - air con was a saviour and very cool throughout. Swimming pool perfect for children but a bit small for adults really . We found the garden a real haven despite the road noise. The master bedroom also carries a bit of road noise which is worth bearing in mind .. if I went again I would consider taking a fan to drown that noise.

Overall the house was lovely , highly spec'd and a great location for town and beaches .

Only downside is road noise , and the dogs barking next door! - they are clearly very inconsiderate people and leave 3 large dogs out all day and night.. ( not Paul's fault ) but we had a baby with us and it woke her ....Finally the parking is a little tricky down a very tight ally, so maybe brush up on reversing before you go :)

Would we go back - yes we would , we had a lovely break

Thx paul - and I also want to make a point that Julia who met us on departure was lovely and very helpful

“Glorious fun.”

Had such a wonderful time at Paul's house. Absolutely everything you need to unwind. LOVED every moment. Such care and attention to detail and Golfe Juan much preferred to the more tourist centric towns nearby.

Special shout out to Julia who welcomed us and helped us whenever and whatever we needed.

Kids had a ball.

Thank you for your very kind review, I am so pleased you enjoyed Golfe Juan, I too love its quieter, more family atmosphere. And I totally agree, Julia is a wonderful asset to our team at Les Freesias.

“Great home with pool. Perfect stay for our party of 5”

We stayed a week in July. Traveled around everyday to a different location in the region which, despite summer crowds on the Riviera, worked out quite well as Golfe Juan is minutes away from
Antibes, cap d'Antibes, Cannes etc..

The house is a true gem, the garden is a great place to hang out (with a small sized pool you will not resist jumping in) and the location is convenient - but a bit noisy with traffic which affects you only in the garden as the house is beautifully insulated from outside noise and with independent air-conditioning in every room ( in perfect order) you never have to open windows. Let us visit the house:

The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All bathrooms are modern and clean. Not all bedrooms offer the same comfort and looks. The top floor rooms are low ceiling attic rooms ( a twin room and a double room) are far less stylish, and share a bathroom.

On the second floor (which the French call first floor) the master bedroom is magnificent: finely decorated, and has a large, pleasant bathroom and a large closet with ample space and plenty of hangers. The second double bedroom on this floor is pleasantly done and has access to its own separate bathroom and toilet (nor in suite) on that floor. Only draw back: limited storage space for your things - your shirts will hang on a simple wire hanger in the room.

On the groundfloor, a great big kitchen/dining room with a round table allowing seating for 6-8, and with excellent fittings, beautiful design, and all you need to cook and serve a good French meal! And a beautiful living room with great art, nice design and comfortable sofa and chairs. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. Finally, a great sound system wired across kitchen and living room and accessible for you to plug your iPod iPhone or other gear and cook or rest in music!

In the garden, around a small pool, all you need to enjoy a nice day: a table to sit 8 and a barbecue for dinners, two areas with sofas to hand out, one away from the sun and one shaded by trees and a large umbrella, a wooden deck across most of the garden with great lounging equipment ( 3 chaises-longues and plenty of poufs to hang around and work on your tan) and in the garage more umbrellas.

There is indeed a garage for one car to be protected from heat and thieves as well as a space outside for a second car.

The whole garden area is beautifully designed with trees and flower bushes to contemplate. Only drawback, and a major one for me who was hoping
for a quiet place to hear the cicadas: the noise of traffic on the road mearby. In other words, you are in a town , not a pine forest...

With town comes convenience: quick walk to shops.
Quick access to the Marina too ( restaurants) and not far from beach area ( not the best of the Riviera but sandy-- which is not the case further up the cost where pebble beaches are common)

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of my house.
I am delighted you enjoyed your holiday, it is always nice to know other people can also share and enjoy my home.
I hope the road noise didn't disturb you too much - I think I must have got used to it. Hopefully the proximity to the village centre, its shops, cafes and restaurants made up for the inconvenience.
Best wishes.

“Beautifully refined, private but central, family-friendly home from home”

As a family of 4 (two pre-schoolers), with a couple of guests joining for a few days, this home was perfect for us.

We lived the fantasy of small-town French life: A short early walk to the boulangerie croissants and bread each day, long morning swims, every meal outside in the shady cabana, wandering into town for a dockside lunch or wine & cheese stock-up, catching the train one stop to Cannes for shopping and sightseeing, ferry to the Isles de Lerins for a picnic lunch, joining the local schoolchildren in the little playground in the central square...

Everything I've listed is a max 10 minute walk. This was our first vacation since kids without a car or strollers--and we did not miss them one bit. How incredibly liberating for us AND the kids, who adored the freedom and lack of hassle!

The house is stunningly, sensitively renovated--and you can't put a price on quietly air-conditioned bedrooms in 80-90 degree heat. The pool is perfect for little ones, as one adult can comfortably keep two non-swimmers within arm's length.

Last but not least, our incredible hosts Paul (owner) and Julia (liaison) - who struck the perfect balance of being friendly, responsive, helpful AND respectful of our space. All in all, an amazing holiday - we will be back!

“Every bit as beautiful as the pictures”

This house has been done simply beautifully. We were two couples and three adult children and we had plenty of space and privacy. It is so central, really close to the shops, beaches and restaurants. We came without a car and caught the train from the airport which worked really well. We did not miss a car whilst we were there but we know the area well and wanted to enjoy Golfe Juan and the other resorts close by we could catch the train to, Cannes, Antibes, Nice and we also went to Monaco. But if you want to travel more widely, up into the mountains a bit more a car would help.
The pool and pretty courtyard garden are very well done and we enjoyed just lazing around outside in the sun. I would love to return.

“amazing house in a perfect location for a family holiday”
Reviewed August 26, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We are a family group of 7, with children ranging from 12 to 19. We stayed at Villa Les Fresias for 11 nights in August 2016. The house was all we hoped for and more. It really is beautifully decorated and presented with absolutely everything you need for a family holiday from the separate seating areas around the pool (which was much used) to the spacious, air conditioned bedrooms. The house is well equipped for absolutely everything you might need, a proper home from home, and just a few minutes walk from the beaches and restaurants at the marina. The bakery and other shops are just round the corner but the house is really private with its walled gardens and lush planting. We didn't hire a car (which is a first for us as we get cabin fever) but managed to explore the coast by train which the kids enjoyed. It is a beautiful area with loads to see and do. Paul and Julia were fantastic - friendly and approachable with any queries answered immediately. We really couldn't fault the villa or our hosts and would happily recommend it as the perfect location for a holiday !

Beautiful home, nice location (as others have said) and an owner who has provided it before you thought you might need it. Paul and Julia (who helped with the check in and was also available for questions) were the perfect hosts. We stayed for a week and the enjoyed every minute.
