“The best bouillabaisse in the area”
Reviewed May 3, 2012

This traditional fish restaurant is directly located at the beach on the street to Cape Antibes. When ever we like to have bouillabaisse we go there since many years now and we have to admit the quality remains stable at a very high level. The soup is served in an enormous huge pot, and the friendly service staff is always taking care that your soup remains hot and doesn't turn cold.
You are seating next to the beach and so you can watch the waves and the sun set while you are dinning. Very nice and good atmosphere.

“$500 for fish soup.”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

The owner and staff were totally charming and provided superb service. We ordered boullibase, the specialty of the house which was impeccably prepared with 4 or 5 types of fish and some warm-water lobster. The service even included replacing the soup toureen with a new, steaming hot toureen, at mid-meal. All perfect. Worth $500??

“Total Rip-off. EU 71 per person for basic bouillabaisse”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

Great spot, nice sandy beach with good sunbeds. Those are the positives.

Inside it's pretences all around. A waitress, presenting herselve as "Mrs. Arrogance 2011", exhourbitant prices for (just) a beachclub. Misleading menu. Thought the EU 71 for the bouillabaisse for for two, still steep but worth a try. However, it was PER PERSON. OK, it was good, but at this rate one would have expected at least lobster or langoustine. If you wanted to have these ingredients added, the price was EU 99 per person. Hello there! Just a bowl of SOUP!!!!
And this was not the only rediculous pricing. 4 grilled medium sized scampi's for EU 40,--??!! And served partially raw, without apologies afterwards?

Nevertheless, if you like spending, love having lots of Russian guests around, being seated on plastic chairs, this is the place for you. Sorry guys, never again for me. I do not mind paying handsomely, but would at least have appreciated it to have matching service and clear and fair pricing on your menu.
Get real; you're just a beachclub and not Bocuse!
