We've just returned from a rather nice evening at Via Cassia, staff were very friendly and the food was great. We had Moules Frites and the girls had burgers. The deserts were excellent and other diners meals looked equally good. It's not cheap, but not expensive considering the location. Atmosphere was lovely. Would visit again.

The reviews here seem to be either very positive or equally negative. I can well understand that. There was much that was very good, but unfortunately too much that was poor at best.

We went on a cold midweek February evening. It was obvious that the location would have been superb, particularly eating outside, on a balmy summer evening. We were however not able to take advantage of that.

Many reviewers comment on the good quality of the service. Once our meal had started, we would share those views. However, we arrived a few minutes before seven having not eaten any lunch. Early and hungry is not always a good combination in France! The contempt we were shown for asking for a menu 10 minutes before 7 PM would have to be seen to be believed! We very nearly walked out at that point. The rest of the evening was good enough that we are glad we did not.

I had the penne with smoked duck's breast. My wife had the linguine fruits de mer. Both dishes were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone.

The price was however an issue. The restaurant would obviously have been packed out on an August evening. In those circumstances, in that location, I wouldn't even have thought about the price. It would have seemed absolutely normal at peak season.

On a cold February evening, with only one other table occupied, the prices of both the food and the wine seemed excessive. I would not go back out of season for that reason . I would happily take friends there in the peak months however. Via Cassia needs to offer an out of season discount, particularly to locals, if it is to fill its tables in the colder months.

just popped to the port to get drinks & ice creams and look for a place to eat on Monday. This placed looked great and had some comfy seats to take a drink. We sat and waited 15 mins despite catching the eye of several staff we were ignored. Quite fancied a cocktail but there is a limited to how long you can wait!

Very limited choice of good restaurants in Golfe Juan. Overpriced and they all compete offering the same food andsome of them are a real tourist trap. Via cassia is one of the three restaurants owned by the Cassia family. This year, we got good pizzas and good service. Last year pasta and fish courses were disappointing. I would go again by default when we don't want to cook.

The restaurant is situated in the marina, away from traffic noise, and on a peaceful pedestrian walkway. The manager greeted us warmly, and made us feel very welcome. The food was very good, well presented, tasty and not overly expensive for the location. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, staff were friendly and efficient, dessert was excellent. I would definitely go back
