We stayed in Chateau Eza in July, and had one of our best hotel experiences ever. We booked a standard room but the hotel upgraded us to a full view room, overlooking Cap Ferrat, in the former library of the house. A room service dinner on our balcony the first night was magical, with each course served separately, when we called to let the kitchen know we were ready. Since we stayed 4 nights, the hotel also gave us a lovely bottle of chamagne, which we shared with the dinner. A dinner the 4th night in the restaurant was also excellent. Since Chateau Eza is located at the top of the village, it has the very best views in town: in the room, the restaurant, and off the bar. The staff went out of their way to provide excellent service.
The town is located on steep steps, and you must leave your car below (the valet parks it for you and takes your luggage). It is not right for anyone with limited mobility, and since you need to be willing to drive 15 minutes or more to access the rest of the Riviera. For us, it was well worth it.More
