“Hotel Staff & Concierge Reluctant to Help guests”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I was traveling with a group of seven+ luggage and had a problem getting up to the hotel. An inexperienced driver from another transfer company refused to drop us off at the hotel and left us at the curb. We called the hotel and Antonio the concierge said he would send someone to help us. After an hour and a half i decided to walk up to the hotel to get assistance. I was told by Antonio that he could not do anything to help me. He refused to help! The reception staff s just shrugged their shoulders & would not help either. After about 10 minutes of arguing w/ Antonio, Paul one of the Directors and asked what was going on. Antonio told him and he immediately said no problem I will get the keys to my car and help our guests. I am a travel agent & would never recommend this hotel again.

Those who stay here must be prepared to pay for what is an outstanding location and high quality five star hotel. We had a large room with a terrace and plenty of privacy with unfetted views of the Riviera, what an experience. Don't be daunted by parking, drive straight up the hill to the front gate and from there the concierge and his take charge. The gardens are quite remarkable with fabulous sculptures. For those who are prepared to pay this is a must stay hotel on the French Riviera.

The chateau is situated beetween sea and sky, at the bottom of the village of Eze, it's one of the most beautiful view of the Côte d'Azur. Check in,check out is very simple and easy, rooms are biggish, huge bathrooms and fantastic views. The service is outstanding being at the bar or the restaurant. The only downside a very un drinkable coffe for 12 euros! I am sure you can solve this problem

We travelled in France for 3 weeks and La Chèvre d'Or was our favourite hotel/ destination. The landscape was breathtaking, the room was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. It was very tranquil and relaxing. We will return!

We rolled in straight from Vienna and decided to stay in Eze for one night to be able to walk the medieval paths without the throngs of day visitors... I'd been to Eze before but not stayed and only got glimpses of the beautiful stepped gardens on the cliff.

Anyone who has read any of my reviews in the past will know that as a heavy traveller staying in hotels one out of every three days will know that I do not bestow compliments on services easily. But the staff here are definitely professional, able to assist while not being over-bearing. The staff went out of their way to make our brief visit memorable with small gestures that were appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay here again, especially if bringing friends who have never visited the Cote d'azur before.

Room Tip: The mid-level rooms are best value. We had a great terrace with a direct sea view that allowed me t...

We loved this hotel. Highlight of our trip to France. While room was on smaller side (and I had a hard time turning on bath faucet) it didn't even sway my opinion of our stay overall. The staff is lovely and the concierge Antonio amazing. He helped us have one of our best dinners of the trip. We wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for him.

The breakfast is lovely and beautiful. The views are to die for, the grounds spectacular. Truly a fantastic South of France experience and highly recommend. Can't wait to go back one day. You can't go wrong here..we loved it!

The chèvre d'or may be the prettiest place in the world. The staff, especially Jennifer, is wonderful. Service and breakfast were unbeatable.
The view is so spectacular that words cannot describe.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Put on your walking shoes as there are many gardens and hidden gems. Walk up to eze village and enjoy the shops and wines! Skip the Fragonard perfume tour. A big tourist trap. Rent a car and explore nice and St. Paul de Venice. We drove to Monte Carlo and loved cafe du Paris. Casino was fun also! Missed "old town" in Monaco and wish we had not.
Always returned to the spectacular vista from chèvre d'or. So happy we booked and splurged. You will be also.
