“Very good meal!”
Reviewed May 7, 2012 via mobile

We went as a group, we booked the restaurant since we were 19 people. The meal was excellent. We had anti pasti, home made ham lasagnes, home made meat balls with pumpkin mousse and vegetables, and many homemade desserts. I should probably add that the wine was very good too. I recommend this place, it is simple but excellent food.

“Nice place but food could be better”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

It was cold when we visited Eze so we looked for somewhere to have lunch indoors. Unfortunately, while this is a very cosy little place with loads of atmosphere and lovely staff, the food was quite average. On a sunny day you are probably better off getting a take-away from one of the other cheaper cafes, buying a ticket for the gardens and soaking in the million Euro view for a quarter of the cost.

“Best meal of our whole trip!!!”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

We decided to stop by La Taverne while we were visiting Eze, and couldn't have enjoyed it more!!! The Pizza and pasta were amazing, (we ordered the syracuse pizza and the pasta arabiata- not on the menu but the owner said she would make for us,) and of course, the house Rosé was not to be missed. Great little gem of a place.

“Distinctly average at best”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

This restaurant was a bit disappointing really. I only had the lasagne, which was not too good. The melted cheese was the only thing holding it together. A bit too fluid! The taste was ok though. The house red was good. The pudding was a disaster, only a choice of three that evening. I chose the strawberry tart, which, after a few minutes, I was then told would actually be a peach and strawberry tart. A bit later, later the chef came out to advise that it was in fact banana, peach and strawberry. I didn't care, just bring it out! When it arrived, it was smothered in cocoa powder and had 4 halves of a strawberry around the plate. It was horrible. Shan't go there again, sorry.

“Best pizza of entire trip to France and Italy!”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

Cute outdoor seating area. Strange rules about when ordering allowed. Proprietress/waitress very friendly with over the top personality! Other intersting dishes besides pizza available.
