“Domaine Pins Paul has the most beautiful view in the world.”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Our trip to the south of France was highlighted by the wonderful stay we had a Domaine Pins Paul. Phillippe and Marie Josee were very friendly, helpful with directions, and made delicious breakfasts for us on the patio overlooking Eze Village. The rooms are clean and modern and had everything we needed, including a wonderful champagne and wine fridge right outside the door. We slept very well since it is so intimate and quiet. We didn't go to swim in the pool but would have found that a bit difficult since it was chilly.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in had a round bed and we found that to be quite fun. All rooms have a great vie...

Fantastic Maison D'hotes runned by Marie and Philippe, with a STUNNING view of Eze, Cap Ferrat, The Med, Cap D'Antibes. It's a very charming house, facing one of the most impressive "acropolis" of France, the medieval Èze. Marie and Philippe are very kind people and Fiona is their charming dog. The rooms are very clean, the pool is very attractive (although we didn't use that), and the breakfast is a tasty french style: some bread, croissants, butter, milk, cereals, pain au chocolat, coffee/tea, jam... and some incredible french cheese. It's a perfect place to stay if you are planning to visit Montecarlo, Nice, Vence, Grasse or St Paul de Vence. Indeed a very nice place. I wish I could stay a little bit longer.

Wow - if you have never been to Eze, put it top of your list right now! Driving there is truly like something out of a James Bond movie, the hairpin bend roads are amazing, the views of the Med below as you get higher higher are quite stunning. Everything is full on dramatic and breathtaking at the same time. I had a couple of choices when it came to considering accommodation in Eze - there are the more usual suspects in Eze village which are proper hotels but also have a proper price tag. so thanks to Trip Advisor I also discovered the beautiful, fabulous Domaine Pins Paul high up in the hills looking down onto Eze village. it is a tad tricky negotiating the access road so take things slowly - but you will be truly rewarded! We stayed in the Saint Hospice suite and have to say I think that the views from this perfect little spot were better than the hotels in actual Eze village as you get the bonus of looking down on Eze village and also the glorious Med sparkling below you - views as far as St Tropez. Hosts here are a complete pleasure too and Philippe is very knowledgeable of the area. Once checked in we drove to nearby Menton for a late lunch via Monaco (a first for me, but highly recommended to visit just once!) - these are roads of pure glamour, glistening supercars and even more glistening locals!! Back to our base for a glass of champagne on the balcony and the most dramatic views of an electric storm out to sea. Finally dinner in Beaulieu sur Mer and the most stunning drive back up the hairpin roads in the dark - that is quite something. The suite itself is huge - and when lying in bed you look out of the window and can still see that absolutely jawdropping view down onto Eze village and beyond. Truly special spot to spend the last night of our 6 night South of France sojourn before heading back (grudgingly!) home to London. Before the airport we also took time to visit Eze village - you have to take this place in if you have the chance. the view from the old ruins at the top of the villages are incredible, you truly feel king of the world.

Room Tip: The views from the Suite will take your breath away - it's the most expensive room in the B&...

I miss Philippe, Marie Josee and Fiona terribly. Staying at Domaine Pins Paul was like staying with friends in the most beautiful location imaginable. Philippe and his wife are charming, warm and super helpful. They went well out of their way to assist us during our 4 night stay this past June. I agree with the other reviewers, words cannot begin to describe the joy of visiting and the sorrow of leaving their magnificent property. My husband and I have vowed to return one day. The Suite Saint Hospice is incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated. Thank you, Philippe for tolerating my French and assisting us with our rental car dilemma in Nice. Thank you, Marie Josee for your delicious breakfast, tarts and preserves. I had a delightful birthday visit with you that I am still savoring to this moment.

We stayed for two nights in July in the apartment upstairs! This a the most beautiful view I have ever seen, One could wake up to this everyday! The B & B was beautiful and very clean. The owners were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast on the deck each morning was wonderful. Each night we would sit on our balcony and watch the lights of the cote de azur sparkle and light up like a jewel box with the castle of Eze glowing front and center! A perfect stay! Would definitely stay again, again and again

We spend 7 wonderful days at Domaine Pins Paul and even the beautiful pictures from the website don't quite do justice to the breathtaking location or illustrate the kindness of the hosts.

We stayed in "Le Village', a new bedroom that did not feature on the official website at the time of booking. Although we did not get to see the other 4 rooms (all are differently laid out and decorated), it is hard to imagine anything closer to perfection.

The room had its own entrance to the side of the building, with its own deck chairs and lawned area - perfect for a romantic pre-dinner glass of rose or an early morning reading session. The room was very bright, with full height glass doors covering an entire wall as well as two South facing windows. Our king size double bed had a direct view onto the Mediterranean, Eze Village and Cap Ferrat... and the same magical view could be had from our very generously sized shower room! The pale wood, limestone floors and white wall decoration was modern yet exuded a warm charm and felt worthy of a 5 star spa resort.

The breakfast terrace is impressive and the swimming pool long and deep enough at one end to choose between relaxation or a more sporty session.

Our hosts were very welcoming and Philippe, Marie Josee and Caroline were full of excellent advice on the best walks, drives and kindly made a few great restaurant bookings for us.

Although Eze village is only 20 minutes away by foot from Domaine Pins Paul a car is pretty essential to make the most of the stay as paths in the region (outside the coastal walks) are rather steep. We would however recommend you choose the smallest car you can get away with, this will come handy when negotiating the tight bends in some of the most picturesque roads.

Finally, this review couldn't be complete without mentioning the wonderful breakfast of fresh breads and croissants, homemade jams, fresh fruit juices and fruit salad as well as a superb selection of French cheeses matured to perfection (one of my soft spots) and the occasional home baked tarts or cakes.

The location is perfect to explore the coast from Cannes to Italy and choose between relaxing, cultural, gastronomic or sportive pursuits depending on your mood.

Leaving was truly heartbreaking so we are already thinking about our next sojourn.

It's rare to find yourself at a loss - I haven't even been able to write this review because I am still a bit despondent about not still being at Domaine Pins Paul. Philippe and his wife are wondrous hoteliers - they create a warm, stunning environment that caters to your every need. Modern and updated bathroom in the suite, the views are unparalleled anywhere in the world. I took a time lapse from the suite's bedroom window. If you search youtube for "2 Day Time Lapse of Cote D'azur & Mediterranean, above Eze Village, at Domaine Pins Paul", you will find it. I think I need to do a better job naming Youtube clips. Make sure to choose 720p, and make it is full screen.

Quite simply, that is your view.

We were in the upper room, however, I am sure the other rooms have stunning views as well. The bed was a king size.. I am 6'5" and my wife went out of her way to find one. It was SO comfortable. The gardens and property were wonderful, and the drive there was a thrill.... it is a painfully beautiful place. Philippe will act as your guide. =)

The suite is far and away worth the added cost - the space in the suite, the views, etc should make it a fairly easy decision.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the patio was a perfect way to start the day. They go out of their way to provide the most delicious and charming breakfast you could imagine. The living room was cute, and they even started a large fire the one morning it got misty and chilly. Philippe's gracious and caring service made him transcend the typical inkeeper, and truly made it feel like your were friend or family, and he & his wife were hosting you. His delightful pooch, Fiona, became a fast friend.

It's as wonderful an experience I have ever had in my 20 years of hospitality. We will undoubtedly be back to visit, and sooner than later. You must hike the Nietzsche trail down to the pebble beach - if you are there to walk around and hike, don't miss it.

We feel incomplete without Domaine Pins Paul in our lives - it affected us *that* deeply.

Thank you for what you do!! We hope to see you soon!

Room Tip: Go for the suite. The value is beyond worth the added cost.
