“Peace and Quiet”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

If you want to get away from the crowds on the Croisette head for Ile St Honorat and visit the Monastey, walk around the island and enjoy lunch( but keep an eye on the price!)

“A beautiful, tranquil island surrounded by crystal clear waters and little beaches”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

The island is just a short trip from Cannes by boat.

Well worth a visit. The island has well maintained paths to explore, beautiful little beaches and crystal clear water to swim in. There are also some lovely restaurants and also the fort where the man in the Iron mask was held.

As other reviewers have said comfortable footware is a must for exploring the island, also if you are planning on swimming the water is quite rocky so bring some shoes for getting in and out of the water. There are lots of spots to picnic although there are also some restaurants near to the dock/fort (walk along the bottom road from the dock).

The island can get very hot in the summer too so make sure to bring water, sun cream and a hat!!

“A MUST”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

By far the most relaxing island I've ever had the honour to visit. 15 minute boat ride and the monastery was amazing. You can explore at your own pace and there are so many places to discover. Ferry is 14EUR but the island is free to visit. Not entirely ADA, but most of it is.

“Beautiful islands”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

I visited Sainte Marguerite. It was one of the most beautiful places I have been. Very green with beaches, clear water and lots of birds and butterflies! I went up to the fort from where there are fantastic views and old provencal style buildings. (Be advised that if you take the steps down from the fort the stones are very smooth - so wear shoes with a bit of grip. There is also a sloping path which avoids the steps).

“Great day trip”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

An easy 15 min trip by ferry from the port in Cannes to the Iles de Lerins makes for a great day trip. Plenty of walking paths (highly recommended to wear flat comfortable shoes) as well as lots of areas to relax and have a picnic...swim and sunbathe.
The island has the Fort Royal which in the summer hosts camps for children who stay in the refurbished buildings (including a lovely little chapel) - it is rumoured that the man in the iron mask spent a number of years here.!
There are a couple of places to buy water, sandwiches etc...but it is best to pack a bag before you go over:)
Don't forget your camera as there are lots of photo opportunities both on the island and back across to Cannes..
