“Take both Islands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

Get lunch made up from the outdoor market behing the boat moorings, wandering the alleys behind the market for great cold cuts, patisseries, etc.

Go on the tour of both islands, after reading up about the Man in the Iron Mask! Watch out for sharp coral, embedded in these islands' beaches.

Nice easy walk around each island. Don't go in August.

“Nice easy day or half-day trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

Great views views, not a long journey. Peace and quiet away from the busy towns. Prison cells were interesting, rest of fortress, not so much. There is no proper beach, but its a nice walking area. Nice terrace on the way back down from the fort where you can get a drink, and admire the views. Scorching hot in July!

“The islands of Ste Marguerite and Ile de Lerins”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

Took a boat ride and went swimming between the 2 islands.
The island of Ste Marguerite is beautiful, you can take a walk accross the island through the "Alley of the Eucalyptus", you will never forget the smell of those trees. Certainly a place to visit if you like nature and calm. (cars are not allowed on this island).

“One of the Best daytrips on the Cote D'Azur”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

This is a great daytrip: rocky cove swimming (in season); easy relaxing forest hiking trails; quiet if you do your homework and come very early or late; very good boutique with excellent chocolate from partner Abbaye N. D. de Bonnevale plus great honey. *But I've saved the best for last---the wine produced here is worth the trip across an ocean! Their St. Honorat syrah reminds one of the very best Aussie Shiraz. Not cheap, but perhaps the best wine we tasted during a month across France, inc. Alsace. Note: there are mosquitoes here late into the Fall!

“Outting with the kids or snorkeling with your friends!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

A cool adventure that has a reasonably priced ferry ride from Cannes. The fort, restaurants and beaches all feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the Cote d'Azur!
