This is a great daytrip: rocky cove swimming (in season); easy relaxing forest hiking trails; quiet if you do your homework and come very early or late; very good boutique with excellent chocolate from partner Abbaye N. D. de Bonnevale plus great honey. *But I've saved the best for last---the wine produced here is worth the trip across an ocean! Their St. Honorat syrah reminds one of the very best Aussie Shiraz. Not cheap, but perhaps the best wine we tasted during a month across France, inc. Alsace. Note: there are mosquitoes here late into the Fall!
