Our family of 5 spent two nights in this hotel. We took advantage of the special rate for two family rooms. I booked online and it was a little confusing so I ended up booking 3 rooms by accident. The gentleman at the reception desk was very kind and helpful in adjusting our reservation with no penalty. I was surprised that he only spoke French to me. His name tag showed that he spoke Italian and English as well and it was obvious that I am not a native French speaker.

The rooms were very spacious. The decor was a bit odd and the bathrooms were prefabricated. The rooms were in desperate need of a more thorough cleaning. They were pretty dusty and the corners of the bathroom were not very clean. The shower took ten minutes to heat up in the morning. The breakfast was sparse and was served in the lounge area. This was awkward as the tables were not big enough for the trays and the chairs were too deep to sit up and eat neatly. The other option was to eat on the patio and fight with the very aggressive pigeons.

All that being said, the location was walking distance to the water, the beds were very comfortable and the price could not be beat. With the special price we paid less than 450 Euros for two nights in two rooms. I would recommend a short weekend stay. I could not imagine having to stay here for a week at a time. There is a parking garage next to the hotel and they only charge 8 Euros per night. Be ware- if you have a big car the garage is extremely tight.

Great location, only 10 mins walk to main area of restaurants etc. reduced car parking charge is great 8 euros per day. room was large and well equipped for a family. Good wifi, and Internet TV. Breakfast is the only weakness, with the tables not been cleared quickly and the resident pigeons swoop in and eat the left overs.
Cannes is great place and the hotel is great for a family.

Poor aircon, horrific car park and poor client service compensated in part by ok location and format rooms; expensive for what it is. Short 10 min walk to beach but limited restaurants and shops nearby.

Stayed here for the weekend in May. We decided to get a taxi from the airport which cost 90 euros!! Cannes is a beautiful place with lots to see and do. The Novotel is a short walk from the main strip down one straight road and the train station is close by where you can visit Monaco for 17 euros return.
There was 3 adults sharing a room there was plenty of room for all of us, the rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds and nice quilts not just sheets. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom which is good when sharing and there was plenty of free tolietries and tea making facilities with biscuits and cakes.
The reception staff were very nice and there is a wonderfull bakery 5 mins walk down on the same side.
On our return to the airport we took the trian which only cost 6 euro's each!.

Room Tip: As it's a city Location if you are placed at the rear of the hotel your view will be a wall so a...

We stayed here 2 nights for a quick visit of Cannes and the nearby coast. Our stay started with a 5-star performance, quick and friendly check in, spacious and clean room (suite for 4 people), nice TV choices.
But then we took turns taking showers to wash off the travel dust. After a few minutes, water started leaking out from underneath the raised bathroom unit on all ends, wetting everything in reach, including clothes and suitcases. The first reaction from the front desk was that it must be either our fault or had something to do with a leak two floors down, both obviously nonsense. Finally someone came by to check and saw that indeed the problem was with their bathroom and said we would be moved to a new bigger room to make up for the inconvenience. Well, the front desk lady decided otherwise and move us to the "looser" room, as I would call it, a small, beat up suite right next to the elevator and exercise room. Given that it was midnight, the hotel supposedly sold out (probably a lie, larger rooms were likely available), we went with it and the rest of the stay was OK and all of the above did not matter, since we had a great time outside of the hotel visiting Cannes and the area.
A few details:
- The parking garage is worth it. 8 Euros per day and no worries about finding a spot. Just keep in mind that French garages are extremely tight, so chose your rental car carefully and practice your driving skills.
- Breakfast was OK and worth it if you come with children, because they eat free. Otherwise I would recommend to visit the convenience store and bakery just a couple of blocks down the road. You get better food for half the price.
- The public beach is down the road, 15 minute walk, and one of the best along the whole coast. Perfect for a family. Nice sand for the kids, topless women for dad and perfectly tanned guys is tight bathing suits for Mom. However, no bathrooms, but McDonalds is not far and you can sneak into the code-secured bathroom area behind someone.
- Cannes is in easy driving distance to Monaco and Italy, definitely worth a day trip. Be aware of automatic speed cameras, as the one caught me in one of the Tunnels with 90 km/h limit, which I only exceeded by a little bit. Still waiting for the bill from Hertz on that one.
- If you book online with Novotel, you can sometimes get a second room for 50% off, so you can get two regular rooms much cheaper than a suite. And ..., if one bathroom leaks, you can use the other :-)

The hotel was quite nice, room was nice size incl microwave and small fridge. The only problem was staff, actually lack of them. The bar is together with the reception and only 1person behind the desk doing all the job. During breakfast guests are left alone as no staff at all. There was a day that my room wasnt served and when called reception the lady told me to come down and get what I need. Also when ordered breakfast to the room and got something completly different. Again and called I was asked to come down and take it. I ordered breakfast to the room because I didnt want to come down! That was the point of it. The worst thing was that the staff doesnt have uniforms, they are wearing whatever they like which really doesnt look good.
