“Best outing in Cannes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

Pierre and Joyce are a wonderful couple who offer an amazing sailing trip out of Cannes. From the minute you step onto their beautiful boat, you know your day is going to be splendid. Once out of the port, you feel like a sailor as you assist Pierre in the many tasks to bring the sails to full life. Then you take a relaxing cruise to a beautiful small island off the coast of Cannes home to a group of Monks that brew beer and make wine. Along the way, Pierre lets you take turns at driving the boat to immerse yourself in the sailing experience. Once anchored off the island, you have plenty of time to dive into the refreshing water and swim around while Joyce begins cooking something wonderful. As you relax on the boat, soaking in the sun, you begin to realize how hungry you are as the tantalizing smells begin to waft up from the kitchen and you become even more excited for Joyce's cooking. In anticipation of your increasing desires, Pierre offers a quaint selection of appetizers to fend off your hunger as Joyce completes her masterpieces. You enjoy conversation and company with your new friends as you munch on sausage, olives, chips, and their famous 10 grain bread. Then Joyce brings up 7 magnificent plates of food plus a healthy selection of wine and juices. You get a small serving of each item and once you are finished, Pierre offers you more but you decline because you are too full. Pierre insists and you give in. Afterwards, they bring up a nice selection of cheeses and fruits and you are trying your best to find more room in your stomach to enjoy these treats. Afterwards, you convince yourself to dive into the water again to cool off before you soak up some more sun. You relax some more and before you know it, it's late in the afternoon and it is time to rig the sails and head back. Once back in port, you have one last toast with everyone and say your goodbyes. You are sad to leave but you are very happy knowing you just spent one of the best days on the ocean you will ever have. If I am ever in Cannes again, I will definitely take this trip again and will recommend it to anyone I know who visits the area.

“Folly Too Cruise Was Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

We joined two other couples on our Cruise - one from Denmark and the other from England . Captain Pierre and Joyce were both fluent in english which was a help. We sailed out in this wonderful older large sailboat into a harbor full of monster yachts from around the world during the Cannes Film Festival. Captain Pierre and Joyce set the rigging with a bit of help from our crew. We sailed around behind one of the offshore islands and many stripped down to their swimsuits and dove in for a shirt swim. Joyce meantime brought a wonderful gourmet meal which was set on deck including a huge loaf of fresh bread that had been backing in the ships galley. Desert and wine and other available drinks were in great supply. We started at 10 30 am and returned about 6 00 and all stayed for a departing drink . The time flew by and it was sadly time to bid our new friends goodbye . Pierre and Joyce handled the boat like the true professionals they are and found time to also act as great tour guides telling us all about our surroundings
A final note. - we are a well travelled older couple with a bit of prior sailing experience and recommend this trip for all ages. Pierre and Joyce gave us a very special memory of Cannes.

“When in Cannes, Go Sailing on the Folly Too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2014

As my boyfriend is a sailing-fan and we were going to visit Cannes shortly after his birthday I booked - based on the great reviews on Tripadvisor - a sailing trip on the Folly Too as a birthday gift for him.

On the day of the trip we were a little bit worried because grey clouds were covering the sky, but it turned out to be the best thing to do on that specific day because - while the rain started to come down heavily on land - Joyce & Pierre steered the boat safely away from the clouds, avoiding the rain, so that we could enjoy the great scenery and the dramatic atmosphere produced by the storm we left behind us.

At noon we went under deck, letting the rain pass above us. Joyce prepared a wonderful meal and Pierre served his freshly baked bread - a real treat! Unfortunately I got sea sick, but once again Joyce and Pierre saved the day and put me back on my feet quickly. On our way back I was even allowed to steer the wheel. I loved it!

So don't miss this great experience and go sailing on the Folly Too if you happen to be in in the area ;)

“"WOW"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

This is a MUST DO if you are going to Cannes! Pierre and Joyce are amazing hosts! We all learned a little about sailing and the lunch that Joyce prepared was amazing. Pierre bakes the most fantastic bread as well! It was the highlight of our trip to France! (including 3 days in Paris!)

“Not to Miss Experience!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

If we could give the Folly Too more than 5 stars, we would! I set up our adventure over email with Pierre before we left the States. It was a smooth process with no issues. We scheduled our boat trip for ourselves and 6 friends! It was an amazing day! Pierre and Joyce are a lovely couple who made us feel at home on their boat! Not only did we sail with them, Pierre had us steering and working the sails! Joyce made us a delicious feast and Pierre baked us a wonderful loaf of bread!! A few of us even braved the chilly water for a quick swim! Our best day in Provence!!
