We happened upon this restaurant after having passed several 'touristy' restaurants. We were with our 3 year old son at the time so we needed somewhere that would cater for him also. Instead of the usual 'nuggets and chips' menu for children the guy who worked there actually asked what he liked. He loves fish so he suggested a small portion of swordfish with veg and potatoes, he finished the lot! So unusual to find a place where all of the food is so fresh and where they can cater for children individually and still only charge a small kids menu price. Our steaks were amazing and the chef even popped his head out and decided to bring us more frites, no extra charge! Our little one even got to choose from a tub of sweets at the end. Cannot recommend this place enough, a gem.

We visited Le 7 for lunch during a recent Cannes holiday. Unimpressed by the amount of tourist traps around, we followed a NY times recommendation and chose this place. It is situated in a small pedestrian street perpendicular to two very commercial busy roads. Sitting under their umbrellas feels like a haven from the cheap looking restaurant and the crowds. Service was friendly with two teenage boys taking orders and we ordered their cheese board with a glass of their house rose - perfect to start off a meal in the summer. We then shared their roast chicken which was delicious, juicy and wholesome. We then ordered a bottle of the house rose and chilled for a bit more. We even wanted to go back there on Sunday but unfortunately it was closed! Definitely recommend and would go back for an unassuming, but very good food, in a calm setting away from tourist traps but still in the middle of the action. Well done Le 7%

Enjoyed this lovely little restaurant, off the busy streets , no traffic whizzzing past which can be the case with a lot of the restaurants here.
Waiter was excellent - his recommendations were spot on! Shared a platter of fois gras, speck ham and rabbit terrine ... really lovely. Great presentation and attention to detail! A must if you are Cannes!!

Lovely little restaurant in Cannes. The food is home cooked and very tasty. My chevre chaud starter was simple yet flavoursome and the fish of the day was again uncomplicated but tasty. I’d also highly recommend the salted butter apple cake. We’d read on trip advisor that the butter was something to look out for. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The recipe is written on a blackboard above the kitchen and customers are encourage to take photos so they can try it at home.

The waitors were lovely if a bit rushed. The restaurant was small but there weren’t that many of them so service tended to be quite haphazard. But we weren’t in a rush and they were by no means slow so no serious complaints there.

Overall a lovely evening with great wine, food and atmosphere.

Went there for lunch as a couple based on recommendations in misc. media... you can either have a menu with pie or salad + desert (small EUR12, large EUR17), or go for one of the items on the menu for EUR15-30 prices. We went for the EUR17 formula.

One of the salads was interesting (peach+figs+mozza+speck, quite original but works well), but my Caesar was less than average. Neither had proper dressing, mine simply felt like sliced vegetables with an old dry minced chicken breast on top... very, very disappointing.

Other tidbits: EUR7 per glass of wine with a very limited choice... Salt "box" with no spoon, so everyone washes their hands in the box... The salad leaves themselves looked like it had been pulled straight out of a supermarket bag (granted, the local market was closed that day)

Desert (some kind of apple pie made with brioche) was excellent and saved the whole thing :)

Service was young and laid-back, not an issue for us but our 60yo+ neighbors were upset by what they felt was a lack of professionalism.

Net - not sure why that restaurant has such ratings, really. Very skeptical, but then again most reviews are in english, so this might explain it ;) Je suis francophone mais je me suis permis d'ecrire en anglais sur ce coup-la...
