“Excellent food-Outstanding Desserts!”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

This is a family-run restaurant--lovely, intimate decor, on a side street in Cannes, not far from the Red Carpet center. Our server was friendly and helpful. The appetizers, including a foie gras, were divine. My companion and I each had a fish main dish--well prepared and very good, if not ethereal. For ethereal, you MUST have the desserts. The chocolate bombe (not sure what it was actually called) may have been the best single chocolate dessert either of us has ever had. A divine chocolate mousse center (and I normally dislike mousse!), shiny bittersweet coating and a mouth watering chocolate ganache on top--you could go every night just for that! We also had an incredible pistachio cake layered with a cloud of light sweet whipped cream, covered with fresh sliced strawberries and ringed with hoops of copper colored spun sugar. A feast for eyes, nose and mouth! I checked "one of the best meals ever" on this page for the desserts especially!

“Great understated Restaurant!”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

This place is great...The couple hear clearly have a very good background in the industry and have decided to open up their own place. The difference in service and food standard compared to other similarly priced restaurants in the area is enormous. This restaurant deserves to succeed and i'm disappointed to see a few negative and also non constructive reviews...

Everything we ate was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully...real care had gone into each dish. The reason i didn't give it maximum marks on the food was because we found the Foie Gras and quail dish a little too rich...but thats just our taste. The service could have been a little faster but, speaking from experience, with only 1 person on the floor and 2 in the kitchen, the food and service they provided us was nothing short of excellent.

In my opinion this restaurant is a must...you won't find such attention to detail, quality service and a menu with creativity for such a good price anywhere else in Cannes, Fact!

Best of luck to them!

“Well, OK.”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

The owner couple are well meaning, but the food is fairly basic high end, with some edible flowers sprinkled on top. We were the for Christmas dinner, and it was pan seared scallops, pan seared foe gras, and somehow cooked beef tenderloin. All good, nothing spectacular for 79 Euros.

“DO NOT MISS IT!!!!”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Cannes is unfortunately all about Bling Bling and overpriced low quality food. Welcome to a true tourist trap. Thanks god we found this charming little restaurant after several disappointing trials elsewhere in the city. The restaurant is conveniently located close to a parking. It is a small joint serving around ten tables. Get this straight: this is a gastronomical restaurant. Period. Some may say it is expensive but this is no classic comfort food restaurant. Their Mantra is simple: QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY!!! Products are local and bought fresh daily from the biggest market in Cannes: Forville 50 meters away. They create their own menu and change it according to seasons.
They were trained by Robuchon... The husband is the pastry chef and the wife is the chef.
The offer two set menus. A three course and a 5 course meal for the evening service. They welcome you with a pre starter.
They are young, they are skilled and they are brave enough to share their own vision of food.
If you are tight in budget go there for lunch, you will not be disappointed. If you want to treat yourself and your partner with a delicious meal, the one you have for special occasions, then do not miss it.
They truly deserve a try...GO FOR IT!!!!

“excellent restaurant, far from the crowds”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

We could not book a table at two restaurants near old city, so this one was recommended to us by chance.
It was a surprise.
Starter was great- fois gra nicely accompanied. Other starter (the egg) was as well great.
Second dish (fish with vegetables in tajine) could be a bit better.
The chef should improve the desserts in order to get a Michelin star for the future, I think this is something he`s aspiring for. We liked them, but the buscuit part of the dessert was not light.
The prices were quite high, however we are glad that we discovered that restaurant, as compared to other Michelin ranked places in city, it is quite good.
The service is good, all served by chef`s wife. The chef is a nice young man.
We liked our soiree very much. We were the only ones, so it was a private evening)))) I think when the place is busy, the quality of the service can drop, because the girl is alone.
