Our Stay at Palais d 'azur was for two weeks with my husband and two young children last August.
We Really enjoyed staying at this apartment. As advertised it was extremely comfortable, everything worked and was new. It was in very easy walking distance of Midi Beach ( which the Children loved, sandy and clean ) and of all the bars and restaurants of the Suquet and Old Port, which we all appreciated.
Tina, the managing agent, met us and was most friendly and helpful. She also came along at the end of our stay to ensure everything had gone well and to re-fund the security deposit we had given her on arrival. ( Word of warning here...no cash security deposit no access ! ).
She also gave us her contact number if there happened to be any problems, which we found very reassuring. Tina deducted the linen/towel/cleaning and electricity charges from the security deposit. All above board and reasonable.
Really loved Cannes and the "buzz" during the day. The quiet terrace overlooking the courtyard was a haven for a glass of red in the evening once the kids had gone to sleep on the lounge sofabed. It was amazingly serene and peaceful. You would never believe you were so close to the action and noise of central Cannes when you were there.
The large walk in shower was great for the Children after a day at the beach.
We had hired a car and the secure underground parking provided as part of the cost was invaluable...........there is no where to park in Cannes in the Summer unless you want to pay Millionaire prices !
My advice is to not bother with a car if you don't have to as the apartment is so central, walking is easy and quicker.
