“a real Cannes experience”
Review of Rue Meynadier

This is where people go for real souvenirs. A forgotten sibling of La Croisette, there is such a variety - cheese shops, patisseries, clothes shops, pharmacies, supermarkets.... a true French place in my mind. The road winds and meanders but that is part of the charm. Definitely walk down here on your way from Le Suquet to the shopping district.

great street for cheaper selection of clothing and shoes. Also all the beach goers who couldn't travel with stuff can shop here. There are some nice olive oil, pastry , soap and condiment shops as well.

Rue Meynadier is the low-end cousin of Rue d'Antibes and Croisette. This certainly has a lot of character. This pedestrian street is very commercial, with a bunch of touristy low-end stores, many selling local/Provençal products, as well as some restaurants and the Carrefour supermarket. You can try many French savouries such as macarons, pastries and great breads (try both Paul as well as the great bread store nearby). While it hums with activity during the day but looks desolate at night.

Interesting to spend some time walking and scrolling around the shops, many things to see and purchase. Merchant are pleasant, not pushy and welcoming. Its quite clean. Can find restaurant at any prices, expensive to fair enough and food are good.

The more 'local' shopping street in Cannes. Close to marche Forville, Rue Meynadier is an eclectic mix of lower priced boutiques, gift shops and food shops. One or two shops simply cannot be passed without a purchase! macaroons or excellent cheeses. Try to get by if you dare!!
