This is a friendly little restaurant, with a 'plat du jour' for 16€, starter and main, or main and dessert.
I've always chosen from the options on this menu as it has been consistently good.
The fish soup is always delicious, with a tasty 'rouille' and the fish main course was simply cooked, but fresh and with a good selection of vegetables.
The owner is delightful, and we always eat here when we visit Cannes.
Lovely sea-view too.

A charming restaurant on the front overlooking the Med. The staff are friendly & very helpful. We both had mussels. They tasted great but were not the best we have had. However @ €12 they did not break the bank. A 1/2 litre of house wine @ €10 was also fine. Remembering that this was Cannes during the film festival we both thought we had a very pleasant, relaxed lunch in a beautiful location.

So we came to this place by chance!

We decided to go a bit far away from the center in order to find good value for money for our dinner and also to find a nice and typical / not touristical place for dinning.

And of course, this choice of this restaurant was our biggest mistake.

To start with, when we entred the restaurant the waiter led us to the table - the table cloth had some pieces of bread on it from the previous customers. Inacceptable.

We looked throug the menue and the prices are / were suprisingly high.

We decided to stop on GRATTIN DE PECHEUR. The place is looking over the sea and the area itself suggests that fish and seafood should be fresh.

We also ordered an aperitive - KIR. It seemed to me like some sirup with water and a drop of alcohol. Disgusting taste for about 4 eur. Again inacceptable.

We also ardered a bottle of wine and it arrived quickly, the price was acceptable for acceptable quality. So it was ok.

Now let us return to our main dish which is called the GRATTIN DE PECHEUR. We needed to wait for about an hour to be served even though it was empty. The customers who arrived after us got their food much faster than us. So we looked at the waiter and the lady barrista started to speak in French in a loud voice that it is coming and needs so much time to cook. he way of speaking were very rude and from my sujective poin of view she was DRUNK! The same lady was responsible for issuing the bills to the customers. Crazy!!!! Our pecheur arrived - a poor dish with 4 mussels with garlik and cheese. One mussel was not fresh and was uneatable. 4 cooked oysters with cheese and garlik. Awful taste. Some frozen small shrimps. Really it is shame of the waiter to have courage afterwards to ask how we like the food. I would not have all this courage to ask this absurd question. That evening we were afraid not to become sick because of the disgusting dish which cost us 24 EUR. Unbelievable.

The desserts looked ugly as well. We looked through the desplayed desserts - all were looking awful. So we did not try.

So, in conclusion, this is a place to avoid and never to resturn. It is the place to throw money and to be cheated.

The restaurant is a little bit hidden and not (!) directly at the port. The advertisment of the restaurant writes: Specialtes des Poisson frais, crustaces, Bouillabeisse, Bourride and Paella. We have orfered seafood gratin pescadeur. The result was a nightmare (see the picture) Although the restaurant was almost empty we needed to wait 1 hour. The taste was not fresh (mussels and oysters) and it looked and smelled awful. The restaurant looks old fashioned and not renovated since decades. The service is poor and you will get a bad value for money.
