I have stayed here twice for business. Both times, I don't have any problem. The service was good, the rooms are ok although a bit small.

The breakfast was fantastic. The croissant has made the same day!

We booked this hotel via booking.com for a very cheap rate (under 90 euro) and we pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the hotel to find it so modern, stylish and pleasant.
The rooms are not big, but they are beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also nice and there was a little Easter present left for the guests on Easter (we were at the hotel over Easter).
The staff are friendly and speak very good English. They were patient explaining to us the train system and how to get to different locations around Cannes.
The hotel has a superb location: right in the middle of a shopping street and just two blocks away from the sea promenade.
The hotel has its own swimming pool where you can sit and relax a little bit.
The only disappointment was food at the hotel. It is overpriced and frankly horrible. We arrived very late and my boyfriend was a bit hungry so we ordered a club sandwich. It came at a very expensive price around 10-15 euro and it was the worst club sandwich i have seen so far. The same happened when he tried to order something light during lunch. So do avoid eating at this hotel and if you have an option do not book breakfast with your room. Cannes has a lot of other places that are better and cheaper to eat at.
On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel

We chose to spend several days over New Year and NY' eve at this wonderful hotel, as we were travelling with our three teens, the cost of staying in 2 rooms at the Ritz or one of those fabulous hotels on the promenade was outrageous, and I'm glad we were lucky enough to find this gem!!
The kids of course had the mini suite which was lovely, huge king size bed and comfortable sofa bed, small balcony and a huge spacious bathroom with separate shower, whilst we were next door in a smaller basic room, although still comfortable, the bathroom was very small for my 6ft 4in tall man, the bathroom is lit with a hot pink light which makes ones look rather like a burnt lobster but that was just a minor thing! The staff were lovely, they had that small boutique hotel friendliness about them and were amazing, we had booked a parking space...lucky for us, as there is very little available, I didn't mind the cost because the rate for our rooms was very reasonable...lets face it..Cannes is about location, and this hotel is fantastic, barely a few minutes walk to the most fashionable shopping in the world, with all the big names, and people watching is so much fun...the fireworks were unbelievable, which was a complete surprise as we had been in Paris one New Years Eve and they barely let off a sparkler ...We didn't eat at the hotel...too many wonderful places to eat so close, the entrance is at the back of the hotel, via the pool, the front door opens to the street, where all the fun shops are..Sephora, Missoni, and lots of others...the really amazing ones are all on the promenade ...as well as a very nice little weekend Arts market...

Room Tip: Pay the extra and take a Jrn Suite if you would prefer a large bathroom with separate shower, we had...

We booked the Le Canberra through the recommendation of a friend via booking.com. Price for a 3-person room was about 160 euros per night without breakfast. Parking was on the premises but only limited spaces (3) available. There are however carparks nearby. This is a hotel that is located right on Rue D'Antibes, the main fashion shopping street. Just a turn towards to the sea is about 5 minutes. About 15 minutes walking to the west is the Rue Meynadier for shopping for delicacies, and many cafes and restaurants. The Cannes Film Festival building is only 10 minutes away, and you can catch the "tourist train" for a 10- euro 45 minute ride.

Room Tip: There are rooms on the other side of the hotel with a more open view, though they may not see the se...

Great service, pleasant rooms and pleasant atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend. Could have done with a little more variety at breakfast, but overall very good.

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Le Canberra which is situated on the main street where all the Cannes shops are and in my opinion the best part of that main street. We arrived for a 5 night stay having just come from the George Cinq in Paris, we were hoping for better and to our surprise this little boutique hotel delivered.

The service is great and not over the top. There is no concerige or bell boy as such, however the service is still very personal. The hotel is very modern with great furniture and styling. The rooms are beautiful with a great view of the swimming pool.

The pool area is very modern, clean with a great restaurant that overlooks the pool which is also the breakfast area in the morning. We tried to book the restaurant on our last night and to our suprise it was booked out which was a surprise, so it must be worth dining at.

There is a great perfumery on the corner of the hotel which I highly recommend if you want French perfume that is not mainstream brands. They even stock our Australian brands which was great to see.

Cannes is a great place to stay, so glad we did as it is so busy during the day, but at night all the tourist leave and it is alot quieter which is great for dinner. Sitting there watching the latest luxury cars and beautiful people stroll by is what Cannes is all about.

I highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, I am sure they all have do, but ask anyway. Also we stayed on Level one which...

Modern, close to the beach and shopping, amazingly helpful staff. Love it. This place is a gem in Cannes. Love the decor too, very modern, exceptionally clean and great room cleaning service. Can walk anywhere. Parking in public area close by, you pay but so well worth it. Free wi fi and the front desk staff, a delightful man, helped me get my iPad working. This place deserves the rave reviews!

A charming 4 star Boutique Hotel, the Hotel Le Canberra offers a highly elegant environment. Unrivaled in their refinement, the rooms and suites overlook the prestigious rue d'Antibes or the garden with swimming pool. This very glamorous and resolutely modern decor was inspired by the style of the 1950s. The 'classic chic' style of decoration joins forces with the superior comfort of the accommodation. Share a few moments of relaxation in the Le Cafe Blanc lounge bar and restaurant (opened from April to October). On the patio or terrace, you'll find the very same on trend and glamorous atmosphere. Then, you can head to the hotel garden and the swimming pool surrounded by bamboo and bougainvillea, or else the gym to keep yourself in shape, before finishing off with a session in the sauna. Quiet and ideally located, the hotel offers top-of-the-range services for an incomparable stay. Close to the hotel, you'll find the famous Croisette, the prestigious rue d'Antibes and its luxury shops, the Palais des Festivals, the TGV train station and sandy beaches. ... more   less
