“Great spot but its not a 5 star hotel”

This hotel is all about location and its more or less perfect location. Staff was very friendly but extremely slow and you never have the feeling that you are in 5 star hotel. But good breakfast ( as with most Marriotts ) plus great view from the restaurant and as always great beds and clean rooms. Would we come back? Well we would not mind but would rather test some of the other 5 stars on La Croisette

We left after the first night even though we planned to stay for 3 nights. We reserved a suite for my wife, daughter and myself. The first room they gave us they could not get the lights to come on in the suite. The master “general” switch used with the room key wouldn’t work. They moved us to another room next to the elevator. You could hear the elevator going up and down from the bedroom and the bell “ding” at every floor. The carpets were dirty and the door to the bedroom was broken. They moved us to another room and told us it was a “quiet room”. The third room faced the busy street with automobile and foot traffic noise all night. There was a connecting second bedroom to the suite that was occupied by another guest. The connecting door was open at the bottom and you could hear every word of their conversation and every noise very clearly. The occupants arrived back to their room at 23:30 at night and decided to have a party. Overall, the hotel was not kept up. It was dirty, the carpets in the rooms and hallways were filthy and stained. There are marks and cuts on the wallpaper on the walls and doors to the rooms. We left the following morning. I can’t believe this is a JW property. This location is certainly nothing like other JW properties.

Excellent location on the main strip of Cannes, close to both marinas and all the fun spots
Great views from the roof top and bedrooms .....................

This is a great hotel, located on the main street in Cannes. The facility, staff and restaurants are excellent. The concierge was extremely helpful in making recommendations and reservations at local restaurants. They also helped us reserve tours including a boat trip to St Tropez for the day [highlly recommended].

I read all the reviews before going to the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised how much better the hotel is than written. I had a great overall stay at the hotel. Hey, you are in Cannes. That alone is a great experience. The hotel is in a perfect location in Cannes...high end stores, great restaurants, and the Cannes Festival just steps from the hotel. The hotel does not have its own beach but I knew that going in. There is a beach across the street that the hotel recommends and helps with reservations. (there are a lot more than just the one across the street) Yes, its uncommon in the US to pay to go to beach but it's Cannes. Included in the beach fee is great drink/food service.

The rooms were large for European standard especially the bathroom. Hotel was very quiet at night. The staff were great assisting with anything we needed. We went to Paris for three days before going to Cannes. I am glad we went to Paris first as it was great ending our Holiday in Cannes at the beach. The room service was so so for breakfast but the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was a great steakhouse with great ambiance and views.

The next time I'm in Cannes I will definitely look at staying here again! The staff speaks more English than French which was great for an American with not much French. For Americans, this hotel will remind you of American hotels with great service and accommodations.

i came back again after my last visit last year which is totally nice new hotel clean nice pool in the roof , i like the room design , some rooms has good view and others has very bad but i dont mind :)

Very disappointing . someone needs to run some quality assurance over the place as it is tired .Reception staff are very nice .But the gym had 3 of the 6 machines broken and it was very inadequate gym . The pool restaurant bar is a joke and not like the photos . I shifted twice hoping to get served but gave up in the end .The pool is popular so they are losing money here ( I own a business ) . The tea for room service was cold and never strong enough .The operator didnt answer so I had to ring reception who were nice but found it difficult to explain how to get an out side line .
Fawlty towers not quite but on its way .

Room Tip: Ask for the side rooms as you get an ocean view ( around 367)
