From the outside, the hotel does not look as nice as most other luxury hotels in the Croissette Boulevard, however, once inside, staff is nice and attentive, and rooms are well appointed, modern and with a design touch. Great leather touch on most room furniture, cozy atmosphere in the rooms, and not a noisy hotel.
Small but useful gym, and cool bar.
rooftop terrace with pool overlooking the whole beach and boulevard, great views!
Location is excellent, walking distance everywhere.
For those without the need to spend more on a very luxurious nearby property, this is the place.

just spent 4 nights in Cannes at the JW Marriott - lovely renovated room, revisited in a chic and elegant style; clean and spacious.... I had a great great stay!

buffet breakfast is very good - however guests should sign their docket at their table and not at the entrance; room service has a nice selection - internet price is outrageous like everywhere in town !

well done....nice staff

what happened to the lobby?? it needs to be revisited

Room Tip: double room

Very centrally located. Nice lobby. Large rooms. Service depends on the person – overall OK but not great. Reception desk has 2 people working who may be busy so I had to wait often few minutes.

Breakfast is good but the choice is certainly not 5 stars.

Overall, the hotel is not bad but I would rather call it solid 4-stars and not 5 stars

Room smelt strongly of smoke, and accent cushions on bed were disgusting and filthy, curtains were unhooked at one end and didn’t close so kept awake by hotel’s outside lights at night and bright sun in the morning; sea view marred by street noise and especially, loud pounding thumping restaurant music early in morning.

The refurb is not all that recent or impressive. Rooftop was closed.

For those interested in toiletries, these were Marriott brand, a generic called Nirvae, I’ve had better at budget hotels. Actually I’ve had better bathrooms at budget hotels. The bathtub itself was a health hazard, you would have to be 6 foot 5 and have perfect balance to be able to stretch over the thick, high wall shelf and pirouette into the tub, and there is no bar to grip while pivoting with all your weight on one ankle. I’m fit and healthy and found it uncomfortable, unnecessary and extremely unsafe. It’s a terrible design. It seems that they have put a case over pipes and has created this barrier, and they’ve kept it that way during the refurb.

Tea/coffee facilities also did not compete with the modest Accor hotel I had just stayed at. At the JW Marriott, they let you have one teabag a day, don’t bother asking for more (“Oh, we just replenish once a day”). Also the brand of tea and coffee is better and downscale hotels.

Sadly typical of JW Marriott hotels that tend to oversell and underdeliver.

The breakfast is 35 euros, so if there are two of you that is about $100 USD, but don’t expect to relax and enjoy a delightful moment by the Croisette and seaside. The breakfast buffet food is also exactly the same as I just had for free at the Accor hotel buffet, certainly no better. Also, even though we arrived an hour and a half before breakfast would end, two and a half hours before lunch service would even start, we were rushed by the unpleasant and unwelcoming hostess who insisted and argued to seat us near a loud party, and not where we wanted. In contrast people not staying at the hotel, coming in from the street, were immediately allowed to sit where they wanted. It seemed throughout our stay at the hotel that independent hotel guests were the last priority: that booking through the Marriott website and being a Marriott member is the last thing you should do if you want service at the hotel. Interesting.

This is a very nice hotel, but over-priced for what you get. I suppose you are paying for the location, which is very good -- right across from Le Croisette -- so you can't beat that. My room was small though it did have a nice balcony with lounge chairs and a table. I was told I had a "King" bed but it was actually a European King -- two singles pushed together. The food is good but the buffet breakfast was a whopping 35E! The rooftop terrace was closed for the season when I was there (October), so that was disappointing. Only a couple of t.v. stations were in English, but the t.v. was a large flat-screen. Staff were very polite and very helpful, though there is no Business Center, which would have been useful to me. I had to ask the Concierge to print something for me. If you do go, be sure to indulge in the croissants at breakfast....divine!!

What a great hotel! We stayed over there for a week-end and we had a very good experience. The hotel is located right in the middle of the 'Croisette' facing the sea. The roof top terrace just gives a breathtaking view on the sea.
We could see that the bedrooms have been renovated very recently and the design is nice, inspired by the film festival with very beautiful black and white pictures. Staff was very helpful at the reception, at the restaurant, the room service and also maids.
We will definitely come back!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are great!

A very beautiful and brand new hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were renovated and very clean. The roof top view was breath taking. Food was on the more expensive side but you're in Cannes and paying for the amazing view. It's right next to the prestigious Carlton and indeed a very high class hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
