“Nice and cozy Hotel”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

Very nice hotel and great friendly staff.
When i got there after 6p.m. my room was not ready the receptionist was nice and friendly and offered me a drink while waiting to make the room.
Suppose to have 2 double bed but it turn up to be a single double.
Not that i cared as i was single traveller.
The only disappointing point was the bathrooms for the mere €109 per night for room only!

Thats what you say when you enter the Hotel...The lobby, rooms, artifacts, decor etc have a funk to it. The hotel decor is quite chic and quirky. Its a boutique hotel right opposite the station surrounded with best and yummiest of eateries. The staff is very friendly! Rooms are very clean and white, with some bright artifacts/paintings/furnishing put very aesthetically. Being a designer I just LOVEDD the place. They have a huge spread for breakfast. The breakfast hall overlooks trees, shrubs and creepers and transforms you to a different location in a giffy. If i have to go back to Cannes i would love to stay here again!

Room Tip: Take the corner room on the top floor

Loved this hotel, stayed here for 1 night in June to cover a friday/saturday night before checking into a week long apartment rental (saturday to saturday). This hotel is right opposite the train station, about a 10 mins walk from the beach and the Festival Hall. The hotel reception is very nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly on check in. The hotel has 5 floors, and there is a lift, but it's VERY small, something you will find everywhere in france. We almost got stuck in the lift so when you are not a big fan of lifts or getting stuck i would take the stairs.

The public area's are very nice, well designed and quite funky decor. lots of newspapers are around and the breakfast room is very beautiful.

Stayed at the 3rd floor, upon entrance the first impression was "WOW" it was lovely with crisp white linnen and nice decor and freshly painted walls. however, when spending a bit more time in the rooms you can see that some things must have been rushed during the refurb, they are minor but for a "design hotel" you expect this to be a bit better finished. for example the shower layout was just stupid, very small and did make no sense in terms of size compared to the bathroom itself or the room overall.

Rates are good in this hotel, there is nothing wrong with the hotel, but it just needed a little bit more attention to detail in the rooms mainly to score "excellent" this hotel has great potential, it's 80% there, with a bit of work they can be the next "hot" thing in Cannes. So check it out before prices and popularity take hold of this place.

Room Tip: Take lower floors, to avoid taking the lifts. also get rooms including breakfast, the breakfast buff...

We got a deal through KGB which I was a little nervous about but due to the positive reviews on TA we went for it anyway. A quick overview:
Staff - Incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lovely chap on the front desk (sorry I've forgotten your name).
Cleanliness - Very good when we arrived but I didn't feel it was kept up on the second day unfortunately. Dirty glass was left on the side and the toilet needed a clean. But no dust etc and the bedding was immaculate.
Decor - Kooky, boutique hotel which was interestingly decorated without trying too hard to be different. Twin beds were too close together but we just pushed them apart. No wardrobe but still enough space to hang everything.
Breakfast - Very good quality continental range. Yummy pastries and cheese.
Location - Fantastic spot, literally opposite the train station and within walking distance to both La Croissette and Le Suquet.
NB - Free wi-fi was very convenient but you do need to pick up an individual code at reception. Also free computer and printer which we used for our boarding passes. I left some items in the chest of drawers and they were posted to me.
Overall - Would definitely recommend and return happily.

We were very pleased with our rooms. The location is excellent for both the festival and train travel--immediately across the street. The morning breakfast was excellent and a good value. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. A week after we left, our son noticed that he had left his Nikon camera behind. I contacted the hotel, they found it, and took care of shipping it back to us. I could not be more impressed! A perfect choice.

It was okay - expensive for what it is - but perhaps that characterises all Cannes accommodation? Two really annoying things - the shower water temp regulation was hopeless so would run scalding hot and then cold without my moving the taps at all. This made showering a pain and quite difficult. The other was the night staff man last night (21 May 2012) was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Really rude and no help at all. Other than that it is a fine place to stay, the free wifi is good, and a good if unspectacular location.

Very nice little boutique hotel, obviously recently refurbished with a chic front window and lobby area with colourful furniture and various art installations. Friendly and helpful staff who speak English. Pleasant breakfast room with good extensive buffet including scrambled egg and bacon options. Good sized room (ours was rated deluxe) with big flat screen tv and nice bathroom toiletries. Just opposite the train station and just a couple of blocks walk to the Croisette and beach, so very well situated for the sights and there are various bars and brasseries near the hotel too. We had a lovely weekend here and would definitely recommend this place.
