Hotel is very basic but that is something what you should expect for such a low price.
Hotel staff nice, the lift is available. The price is incredible as the hotel is in very quiet street, directly in city center, 2mins to the beach.
Quiet airconditining.
You will not find the same quality at this price on Cote d'Azur

We have booked this hotel based on tripadvisor recommendations and it met exactly our expectations. Rooms very quite basic, but very clean, with enough storage space for your belongings. The location is great - on a quite street very close to the festival palace and the public beach next to it. 5 mins walk to the train station, which provides very convenient connection to other cities along the shore including Monaco. The only disappointment was the fact that they do not accept foreign credit cards (only French ones). We had to go to withdraw cash to the ATM nearby. There were other guests with the same problem checking out before us. Also do not expect to have a meaningful conversation with the receptionists or other employees in English, but don't worrry there are always some French/English speaking guests around. :)
For it's location in Cannes the price is great; you can walk easily to the attractions and you're very close to restaurants. The reception was very helpful and again for the price it was remarkable.
Just back from a two-week stay in Cannes using the Alize as our base. We were very pleased with this hotel: it has a great location and is clean, with friendly staff. The room was a decent size (esp. compared with two star hotels in Paris!), the bed was comfortable, and towels were changed every day. There was a bit of a problem with the drainage from our shower but the reception staff dealt with it so nicely and professionally that we didn't mind about it too much!
The hotel is quite standard for a 2 Star hotel. The room was fine, the bed was good, bathroom not the biggest but fine... and it was clean!!! :)
The location is perfect! 5 min walk to the free Beach area, 5 min walk to the old harbour (very tourist) and 3 min walk to the main shopping street, where there are Lots of restaurants (more local - very good and cheaper prices compared to the old harbour.
The staff is very friendly, and a few of Them speaks english :) they are helpfull too regarding tourist question.
The only minor minus is that the hotel does not has a safety box.
It's defiantly a hotel we want to stay at again if we are going to visit Cannes!
I stayed here over the weekend before moving to a much swankier hotel two blocks away for a conference. Simple comfort, clean and organized. Good free internet connection. Very friendly welcome. It's a two star hotel; for luxury amenities you have to move two blocks to the beach front and pay at least five times the cost. However, it's nice to find a simple but clean and comfortable hotel of this class in such a great location. I would happily return.
