As it was our anniversary I requested the "romantic touch" for 15 euros extra (rose petals and champagne, presumably in the room). We were greeted by a bunch of fake, recycled petals on our bed that still had a clump of the matted blonde hair of the guest they used them for before me! That really set the tone for our stay in this hotel. The only good things I can say is that the personnel is friendly (as they even called me in Italy to offer me a more accommodating room before I arrived) and it's a relatively good location (provided you don't mind walking uphill). The rooms are old and dingy, the hallway smelled of smoke, the elevator so small one could get claustrophobic, the robes were stained, the shower poorly designed so water gets everywhere, the "romantic champagne" was two tiny flutes that we could only take in the bar downstairs, the chairs in the bar low and uncomfortable, the bed extremely hard and uncomfortable, the breakfast overpriced and limited, parking very limited and difficult as small cars do not park in the designated spots (2). I didn't have the courage to try the spa and massages, as originally planned, as I was afraid to spend a lot of money on something with quality as low as the rest of the hotel and services. Next time, I'll pay a little more money for a nicer place to stay when it's an important occasion - lesson learned.

The staff are very nice, but unfortunately everything about this hotel is tired and very out of date. It needs a serious overhaul. Bed was comfortable, wifi (by password) in the rooms was intermittent.
No fridge or kettle in the rooms. Breakfast was the minimum they could provide, all cold, no cooked breakfast! Tea and coffee from machine.
This was a business trip, so i didn't book it, just had to go with it. But for what was paid, i would have thought the service would have been like the Ritz, unfortunately I've had better from the most basic Ibis. Sorry but I can't recommend it at all.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback about the Beau Sejour Hotel & Spa.
We are pleased to read that the staff gave you entire satisfaction. This is a real encouragement, we are very sensitive to the appreciations of our customers. We will have the pleasure to share it with all the team.
Regarding the WIFI access, unfortunately during the congress as everybody is coming for business and use internet, the connection is lower in the entire city at some point.
We assume that in 3-star hotel, the kettle and fridge are optional. Anyhow, on demand, we can provide a minibar in the room for 10 € per day and hot Water is available at the bar, 24h/24h, 7days a week.
We are filling the 3-star hotel requirements with our continental breakfast, hot meal in supplement.
The MIPIM is one of the most important congress’ in Cannes (the second one after the film festival). We did the comparison of the price of hotels such as ibis (about 200 € per night for a superior room, single use) and most of the Croisette Palace (about 3000 € per night), we are actually fit in the 3- star category price.
Best regards,

Angélique De Glanville

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Not happy with the rooms. Good size..but smelt mouldy! and it looked like they hadn't cleaned the carpet for years. Very old and dated. Then we bought food from a vending machine in the hotel and left some of it in the room overnight..then we got an ant infestation! Was not warned about leaving food out. When i told reception they were extremely rude. She said. What do you expect from a warm country?! I have stayed in other 3 star hotels. But this does not match their standards..then when we checked out. I had to pay a city tax?! Never told about this beforehand. Added insult to injury.

Stayed at this hotel for only 2 nights but thank God it was only for 2 nights. Don't get me wrong, the reception was kind & helpful but the manager or maybe bosses are very cold & unfriendly! On 3 occasion i greeted them 'good morning & good evening' indud not get any respond from them, very arrogant ! Location of this hotel sucks! Hotel is located on much higher level than the main street so you may loose your breath walking up to the hotel.

This hotel has a great location, close to the Old Town and beach. The highlight of the stay was the relaxing and relatively secluded swimming pool and adjacent 'tropical' gardens. Other positives included a large balcony, effective air conditioning and a warm welcome on arrival. This warm reception was extended throughout our stay, until problems began to occur.
Negatives-the hotel is located adjacent to a busy ring road and therefore traffic (throughout day and night) provides a constant background noise. The rooms are tired and old fashioned by similar standard hotels and most annoyingly (especially after swimming), there is no wall attachment for the showers.
We were perhaps unlucky (difficult to judge) in that, several of our night's stay at this hotel were interrupted by night roadworks. It wouldn't be an underestimation to say that we didn't sleep at all during the works, which included pneumatic drills, diggers and steam rollers (within 100m of our balcony). When brought to the attention of reception (at 4 a.m, when we asked to try another room), the response was a flat 'no'. There were no signs within the hotel to warn us of roadworks in advance.
We booked an all inclusive spa package, but the spa is open very limited hours and only certain days of the week...something to be aware of when booking. In hindsight, the spa was a waste of money.
We highlighted the above problems to reception on check out and (after heated debate) did get some compensation for the roadworks noise. I can't fault the warm welcome and great service provided by the hotel staff, however, the owner was incredibly rude on check out and it was clear to me that he couldn't care less about the welfare of his guests. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel, which is a shame given it's great location and swimming pool.

Clean, with a great location between old town and the sea. Negatives would be the unfriendly manner of the catering/bar manager(possibly the owner) not sure if he had a problem with our two year old child or just didnt like us but never went out of his way to be friendly in any way. Saying that, the other staff were very nice. Lunch is very nice, the salads are massive and healthy and fresh!

Was better than the reviews suggested.

Stayed for 5 days in July. Lovely, spacious room and bathroom with balcony that faced on to pool. Vey relieved to be facing pool area as front of hotel right on the road with no view just the buildings across the street.

Small pool but was good, always quiet which was great for us.

Breakfast was not included in our stay but we decided to have it one day. Was not worth it! Not a great choice, no hot food.

We walked to hotel from train station which took about 15mons. Hotel in great location only 5mins from Croisette. Supermarket 2mins away also.

Be warned do not leave any bags on floor! We had been to supermrket for supplies for a trip we were taking the next day. When we returned from pool bag had gone. Asked at reception had housekeeping picked it up by mistake but his reply was they must have thought it was rubbish. No apology or effort made to replace. How the housekeeper thought a bag with a bottle of water, a baguette, cold meat, crisps and bananas was rubbish I do not know!!
