We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The hotel is located only about 10 minutes walk from the beach but it is in a nice, quiet location. That may not suit everyone but it suited us.

The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the facilities throughout the hotel - including a lovely pool - are everything you would expect.

we ate only once in the hotel - a dinner in the lounge off Reception and the service and quality of food were fine. Free wi-fi in the rooms and free parking for our hire car.

We had no problems here at all and would certainly stay again if in Cannes.

Room Tip: Pool view, top floor.

On Travel Department tour - Cannes & Cote D'Azur.
Travel guide, tours and the hotel, staff & facilities were excellant. Very good breakfast by French standards.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on business. The location of the hotel is out of the way and difficult to find, however google maps saved the day. Reception and event staff were excellent and could not do enough for us.
The food was top class and reasonably priced with excellent waiters/ress service. Rooms were ok with all the usual business tools available.The bathroom was a lttle jaded but cleaned every day.
The only littlew niggle was the attitude of a male bar tender who refused to serve food after 10.00 pm. He spent the rest of the evening kicking chairs and arguing with a female colleague at the rear of the Bar. The female bar tender did arrange for food to be served and saved the day for us WELL DONE TO HER

We used the conference facilities and found these to be of a high standard

We would definately use this Hotel again Just hope the bar tender has got another job.

Our family stayed here in January at the end of a 7 week European vacation. We had essentially stayed in 4-5 star Hotels throughout several countries and after considerable research we thought that the Novotel Montfleurry in Cannes would be a pleasant way to conclude our adventure.

Ok...where to start! This Hotel is NOT easy to find and you do need a sat nav if you are driving to the location .The bonus is once you have arrived the underground carparking is complimentary for guests. As it is set in a residential area it is way too far to walk into town but the Hotel compensates for this with a mini bus that provides return trips into town on an hourly basis.

Check in - after getting all our luggage (two trips) into that hideously small guest lift from the carpark we arrived at a pleasant lobby/reception area and were quickly and professionally checked into the Hotel. HOWEVER... once we arrived at our room we opened the door to see paper pieces immediately on the floor which made me question the cleanliness of the room. Despite a welcome card from the GM with a bottle of Spring Water and some lovely gifts for the children the room itself was a great disappointment. Not only had it not be vacummed from previous guests but there was numerous hair strands/dust on the bathroom floor, stains on the carpet, liquid stains down the walls, mould and peeling grout in the shower area etc. YUKKY,YUKKY,YUKKY...so after using the toilet we discovered the bathroom sink was blocked and had to call reception to have some of these issues rectified. Now...45 mins later whilst still in our rooms we had to wait for maintenance staff to come and unblock /drain the sink, housekeeping staff also had to return to vaccum the room and clean the bathroom floor properly. At that point I just wanted to check out but it was getting late and we had young children with us. Now, the family rooms once the sofa bed is made up are super squishy and luggage storage is a problem. The rooms facing the road are also very noisy in the early hours as rubbish trucks etc start early.
We had breakfast at the Hotel each day which was extremely average compared to several other Novotels we had stayed at during this trip. As this Hotel is in a residential area there really is no other "nearby" option without going into Cannes itself. The hot food buffet was utterly unappealing in both appearance & texture so my husband ordered two fried eggs instead. The staff got the order wrong which can happen and they brought out 2 servings of fried eggs which looked like a dog's breakfast and then charged us 12 euros on top of the already hefty breakfast rate!!. Consequently eggs were shown to the Restaurant Manager and promptly returned to the kitchen.

We also ate dinner one evening in the Restaurant...even though the Hotel was busy we were pretty much by ourselves as the business was essentially big groups and they were dining in another area.The dinner on the other hand was very enjoyable and satisfactory...a welcome relief from breakfast.

In conclusion this Novotel has plenty of great spaces and facilities and if it was under better leadership & Management than what it currently is then I'm sure with some serious spring cleaning, a new breakfast chef and some moderate renovations this Hotel could be a decent 4 star experience for all sectors of the tourism market.
I would like to challenge the GM of this Hotel to do some random room checks, eat in the Restaurant and use the facilities at random times to see what it's like staying at this property from a guest's perspective.

We stayed at this hotel after 3 weeks of traveling in Italy and France.
I can assure you that the beds at the Novotel felt like sleeping on a cloud.
Since Cannes is a small city, you will find that you walk a lot , so a comfortable sleep after a long day in the sun is great. Plus, this hotel was had great service and was quiet.
It is about 20 minutes walking from the beach, but you can take the shuttle which is every hour to downtown and it can bring you back to the hotel at night. Just remember to book your spot for the shuttle as it can get busy.
The breakfast is excellent but slightly expensive. We thankfully booked breakfast with our package and took advantage of it in the morning. I highly recommend you do the same.
This might not be the closed hotel to the beach, but if you are looking for a relaxing sleep this is the best spot.

Stayed for 3 nights at the start of January 2011 and the room was very comfortably and the staff were excellent .
Tip is because this hotel is in a up market residential area of Cannes you need sat nave to find it but it is worth it !

free underground parking in with the room price .

We stayed at Novotel Cannes Monfleury for 3 nights in the middle of the Cannes Film festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. Though the prices were very high at this time, we felt the experience was worth the price and still a lot more affordable than the hotels on the Croisette Beach.
The hotel is situated at walking distance from the main attractions and the cinemas. To exercise our limbs we walked back and forth most of the time. But they also had complimentary shuttle service from the hotel readily available all the time.
Our hotel room was large , clean and equipped with all modern amenities. We enjoyed the small balcony with a quiet garden view.
We felt that the conceirge could have helped us a bit more with schedules of screenings and sights to see.
Overall, we were happy with our stay.
