The food was very nice,we had fish and this was amazing, well done to the chef. The only negative thing was that the waiter could do with a bit more training on customer service, he did not even say thank you or smile the entire time we stayed at the restaurant.

Thank kittybz

Anywhere else in the world you would walk along the promenade looking at the views, and they are beautiful, but your eye is always drawn back to the expensive cars, shops and surgically enhanced people.

More than anything I found it funny. If I had a quarter of million pound car, the last thing I would want is for someone to park exactly the same car next to me, and then another one on the other side. All of a sudden you are not so special.

Having walked the length of the Croisette its a bit of an anticlimax as you come to the public beach, which is rammed, and a small play park, which has little shade.

Along the front there are chairs where you can watch the world go by and snack bars which are expensive, which is not surprising given the location but offer a good range.

I must say that the beach restaurants did look inviting and if it were not for a fractious child we would have visited one.....maybe next time.

Given small children I was glad to find the bistro, listed on another of my reviews, just off the front.

We always take time for a walk down the Croisette when we are in Cannes. We do some people, car and yacht-watching, not to forget some window shopping, enjoy the atmosphere and have an ice-cream. There is a two-level carrousel that we let the kids go on, which is quite a spectacle in itself. Well worth a stroll if you are in the area.

It used to be one of the most beautiful streets to walk on in Cannes. But over the years it has changed alot. Though in daytime its still great and u still get to see alot ... in night time it has become not that safe anymore.

On a recent family trip to Cannes we decided to splash out and treat ourselves to a day of luxury at one of the private beach clubs and were not disappointed.

Having walked the length of Croisette Beach on the day we arrived we couldn't decide which Club to choose for the following day and found it very difficult to find any reviews so we asked our hotel reception and they had special rates at La Croisette Beach and made the call to book it for us.

We were not disappointed, it was lovely and a so nice to feel pampered for the day. The loungers with umbrella cost €25 each and towels are €3 each for the day. We were travelling with 2 children and the club were happy to let them share a bed for the day which kept the cost down.

The serving staff work exceptionally hard all day ensuring you are looked after, it was lovely to have our drinks brought to us all day.

There are 2 services for lunch at 12:30pm & 2:00pm which we booked a table for as it was busy being August. The food was superb and the children happily catered for.

The beach was lovely and sandy and we could easily see the children even though we were a couple of rows back.

For the four of us it wasn't a cheap day but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Thank Vicky M
