“I would never go ever again...!”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

I went here while Midem 2012, having ate too much steaks and wonderful seafood at French restaurants, I needed a bit of oriental food fix. I ordered lobstar tail stair fry with vege and rice anticipating lobstar to be nice and to enjoy a grand dish as it appears to be on the photo on the menu.....On the contrary the food was the worst Chinese food I have ever had!!! Firstly Lobstar was so hard and small. The source looked and tasted awful. Vege were unindentifiable. Rice smelled and tasted very old. When i mentioned surprisingly"the dish did not look like the photo at all" , waiter and waitress sort of ignored it. This dish alone was 40 euro! Next morning I had a very bad tummy. Something was dfntly not right at this restaurant. Avoid going here especially if you are big foody person. Distress guaranteed.

“Not Great”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

While the staff were lovely, the standard of the food wasn't very good. The crispy chicken tasted of curry, and the sweet and sour sauce was like vinegar.

The steamed dumplings and the vegetables in clay pot were nice, so best I think to stick to the plainer food.

This was very expensive for food that was only half as good as you might get at your dodgiest takeaway in London.

“good not great”

We had lunch inside on a hot day. A-C was great. Service was great. Food was ok, crispy chicken was not crisp. Fried rice was bland.

“Still fine but changed”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

I have read that the ownership of the restaurant has changed after years of success. This has been the "go to" oriental restaurant in Cannes for years. As with many Chinese restaurants a lot depends on what you order. We tend to stay away from heavy sauced dishes which are rarely interesting. Our recent visit was beeter fine, as we had the seafood in a claypot which I highly recommend and the dim sum (Goyza) were perfect. Service is very good and friendly. The waiters are the same as before and have dealt with foreigners often during the film and tv festivals so have a working knowledge of english. This is not a nouvelle style oriental restaurant but a solid high quality spot in a landscape of almost all French restaurants.

“Out of the ark Chinese food”
Reviewed July 25, 2011

As we were spending a long time in the area we thought we would try a Chinese restaurant for a change. Unfortunately the food served is like London or Paris 25 years ago - very unsophisticated - overly sweet and sticky, meat quality very poor. Many of the apparently different preparations of the same meats are essentially the same. The only thing they have updated is the prices. We won't bother returning!
