Went back again this year to find nothing had changed - same menu, same characters- same fun evening.

The formula is:
an aperitif, plate of salami, salad and a tub of home made pate plus bread.
Followed by ravioli in crème sauce with truffles - one of our favourite dishes mmm.
A large shot of ice cold vodka.
Choice of mains - about 6 as I recall.
Pudding
Bottle of wine - red or white or rose.
45 Euros.

All is very well cooked and portions of good size.

At some point during the meals out come the guitars and the show begins - the two owners perform a variety of Latin American classics.

The food is very good and it makes a great change from all the more normal restaurants back down in the town.

Value is brilliant.

Been in many many Michelin places but this joint were the one to surpize! A shot of vodka as amuche bouche! Right on the spot :) Everything worked as written before. Well done.

Regrettfully, I am going to have to rebuke the positive reviews so far. My boyfriend & I stumbled upon this restaurant last week in Cannes. We took a walk up to the old town & in search of a late dinner, passed this spot which was lively with diners. We were actually in search of a place recommended on Rue Antoine but decided to go with this spot given the late hour.

It is an odd concept for a restaurant. We sat down but no menus were produced. The owner/manager came out & told us " This is how it is going to work". He then told us what we would be served for starters, no choice given & then options for main course.

This tact was not received well. We tend to like to choose our food as opposed to being told what we will be eating. Our starter was a strange salad of lettuce, raw mushrooms, tomatoes & mustard dressing. We had a small plate of salami & worryingly, a communal dish of terrine that had clearly been passed around to other diners before it reached our table as most of the dish was empty. Neither of us would touch the terrine, my boyfriend had some salami & I picked out a few tomatoes for my starter.

My boyfriend chose duck for main. He loves meat but when it arrived it was clearly quite rare. We didn't know whether this was a speciality dish so he ate about half of it before spurning the remainder.

The upshot of this strange meal was my boyfriend became very unwell about 8 hours later with gastroenteritis. We are both doctors & we analysed everything we ate that day. The terrine & undercooked duck were health hazards waiting to happen.

What did this meal cost us? Well, we lost the entire last day of our holiday. We were due to move on to Antibes the next day but my boyfriend was so incapacitated with gastroenteritis that we couldn't check out of the hotel. I had to cancel our stay in Antibes & rebook for another night in Cannes, which left us about 400 euros out of pocket. Horrible end to our holiday.

Beware guys, I wish I had stuck to the Rue Antoine recommendation.

Bonjour Madame ,

The restaurant serves the best food and entertainment ever! The concept was a bit different from the other but make sure that you can fit in a lot of food to eat here! There were 2 appetizers, 1 main course followed by the dessert of course and wine served! The owners were very friendly and it is a totally lively restaurant. I had the best and tastiest ravioli with white truffle there!

Took some time to find as it is just tucked away in the old town. Slightly bonkers decor; Xmas trim, Chinese waving cats, art deco lamps all add to an unusual evening as the maitre d grabs his guitar and a mate and burst into Spanish song! Good food with friendly staff and decent enough wine. It is 49 Euro each so the site info needs updating but that includes the bottle of wine between you. I know it's France but why do people bring dogs to restaurants?
