I found Sun Hat when looking at www.holiday-lettings.co.uk. Sun Hat is run by an English couple, who own 5 or 6 caravans on the Camping L'Eden campsite in Biot, France.
The caravans were well-equipped and clean. There was a double room, a twin room and sofa beds. I would recommend them for a couple who have 2 children but 4 adults would find it a squeeze as the twin room is quite small with very little storage. The kitchen was very well equipped indeed, with all utensils you would need, a gas hob, oven, grill, kettle and microwave. The bathroom has a sink, 2 cupboards, shower and flush toilet which are connected to the main water supply (so no need to keep changing water barrels etc!) The living room had an l-shaped sofa which could be used as a bed for small children, a dining table with 2 folding chairs and a TV with a DVD player (only DVDs can be watched on the TV as it does not have an aerial, but we found we did not try to watch the TV anyway as we were always out and about!). Outside the caravan we had a parking space and a concrete patio which had a table and 4 chairs and parasol to shade from the blistering 86 degree september heat! There were also some clothes airers for drying your washing/swimming costumes.
Liz and her husband who run sun hat actually stay in their own caravan on-site and were available any time we had questions. They also hire out fans (by the week) and BBQs (per night) at an extra cost. The BBQs came equipped with charcoal, fire lighters and tongs which was great.
Camping L'Eden is a very lovely site and is apparently much quieter than its sister site, Pylon. It has a small bar/shop at the entrance, with a childrens play area. The bar does really nice food - nothing fancy but on the menu but what is on there is cooked to perfection. There is a very decent-sized outdoor swimming pool which we loved, and a small gym (which we never used!) There are also toilet and shower facilities for those camping in tents at the site, and laundry facilities also.
Biot nearby is a lovely village and we definitely recommend visiting it. It is a mile or so by foot but is up a very steep hill. It can also be accessed at the top of the village by car. Also nearby is Biot Verrerie (glass-blowing factory) and Marineland/Aquasplash and some other theme parks are only 1 mile down the road.
We would definitely stay there again!
