“Probably the most classy place we have ever been”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2012

Last Christmas my wife offered me a dinner at La Réserve as present. She knows I am a passionate of luxury hotels and, since I work in the hotel industry, I always says her that La Réserve is the hotel where I would like to work.
Upon arrival we were enchanted by the lights of the garden: even if Beaulieu is charming yet a bit sad in winter, La Réserve is a glittering gem. We were kindly escorted to the restaurant. At the entrance there was a trio of musicians (guitar, piano and violin). We were escorted to the table, which was well prepared and classy.
My wife ordered à la carte and I chose the more affordable prix fixe menu. Wow! All the dishes were superbly presented and excellent. Perhaps you would expect something more extravagant from a 2 Michelin stars restaurant but the delicious food, together with the service and the style well deserve their rating.
The evening was enhanced by the guitar and the violin, which came among the tables at times and made the experience not only gastronomic but also realxed and funny. After the bill (expensive!) we stayed another 15 minutes thanks to them. My wife ordered a tea and the maitre d' kindly offered it. What a class! I work in a hotel on the coast but I hope one day they will hire me!!!

“beautiful special occassion restaurant & hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2011

I am lucky enough to have dined and stayed in this hotel on and off frequently for the last 2 years . The rooms are beautiful old french style and the cleaning staff are marvellous always laying out my make up like a beauty shop . the restaurant by the pool for lunch is mainly located on a peninsula covered by umbrellas that look out over the sea and the pool area . The food is wonderful albeit very pricey for a lunchtime meal . The staff are wonderful especially the 3 wine someliers who never fail to bring me beautiful new wines to taste . they never exaggerate on price either. The restaurant at night is really something located above the pool area with a wonderful view down towards eze bord du mer on the left and saint jean cap ferret on the right . The staff are attentive and well informed . The food is beautiful and well presented . Again its pricey but every once and a while why not !
The entertainment are 2 men one playing the violin the other the grand piano or in warmer weather the keyboard outside . Staff know guests by name and you never sign for anything it is automatically put on your room . Everybody in this hotel is professional , from the door men , concierge - frederick and patrick are the best , to the waiters and cleaning staff . `I would also mention the pool loungers are the comfiest in the south of france with thick mattresses ! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a special holiday .

“Perfect - but very expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

We stayed at the hotel, and had dinner here twice. The first time, we ate the Menu Las reserve. The second time, we ate a la carte. On each occasion everything was perfect.

The location is stunning, with a terrace overlooking the sea for dining, and a garden terrace for drinks before and after. The Manager was charming, amusing and welcoming. The Sommelier was genuinely helpful. The waiting staff were among the most efficient and accomplished of any team that we have seen in a French restaurant. The food was simply perfect.

But, with a glass of champagne before, a bottle of Provencal wine with the meal, and a digestif afterwards, each meal for two cost over Euro 500. For perfection - at least in this part of the South of France - it appears that one must pay.

“Magnificent place! Lovely! Great for Everyone!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2011

This is a brilliant restaurant, which is located in a very picturesque setting. The restaurant with a sea view and a bar in a cosy little garden, inside the building. A little bit overpriced, but that's the only defect in this perfect structure! I do definitely recommend anyone to visit this place.

We did go there this season. The menu choice is very wide, so you will never be obliged to eat the same courses every time, unless you visit it every day for lunch and dinner.

If you ever want to book a table up there, make sure you reserve it in advance, because it's always crowded up there, with the great dishes, great views and Great wines.

“The best of the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2011

Prices are high but probably the same as the other 5 star restaurants in the south of France. Service is impeccable Food is fantastic. The ambience is fabulous. Outisde dining on the terrace overlooking the Med. Inside dining (winter and when the weather is not so good) is very formal. I say formal but in the summer most people are casual chic.
