“Lacked oomph”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

This is an intimate little restaurant off one of the main streets in the old town. The menu offers lots of choice with additinal specials, however the sauces with the pasta just lacked depth of flavour and were a bit bland. Good value house wine.

“Good food TERRIBLE service”

Half hour to get our order, 1 hour to be served- almost 3 hours in total, always without a smile! Definetly to come off season, during the week!

“One of the few left”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2012

One of the drawbacks of restaurants in the south of France is that for the average tourist they are generally rather awful. I think because of the constant turnover of tourists they figure, why bother. It is only by going away from the cities one can get decent food. One exception is Le Brulot in central Antibes, The usual Provencal dishes are available but what stood out for us was the Maigret (duck), the wood- fired lamb was fantastic. And all so reasonably priced!

“Really memorable meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

If you are in Antibes, you need to go here. It doesn't look fancy, but the food is absolutely gorgeous, and the whole vibe is authentically French rather than touristy. We had a plate of sautéed chanterelles which were to die for, and my husband, who loves duck, said the magret de canard was the best he'd ever had. I had the palangre, which was recommended by the maman, and for good reason. We eat at restaurants pretty frequently and will remember this one for a long time.
