We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Our room was HUGE and we had a view of the sea. The air conditioning worked well and it was surprisingly quiet. I was afraid that the hotel would be a long ways away from the interesting, older part of Anibes, but it is actually in the thick of things. A great find.

One night stay here in mid June. Excellent value for money. Room a little dated but functional, well maintained and clean. Hotel Reception staff could not have been more helpful and attention to detail superb - like remembering who you were and what room you were staying in to present you your key after a dinner out.

Would return. A gem.

This is the best low-cost hotel I have ever seen.
Rooms are clean, spacious, well-equipped.
In my room, there were two single beds, a desk I could write on;
a big wardrobe. Bathroom is big, and there was a hair dryer and plenty of towels.
Everything: floors, carpets, walls, linen, curtains, bath looked very clean and new.
The heating in the rooms worked well. There was no problems with either hot or cold water in the shower.
What is especially rare for a two-star hotel is that my room was very light. You can switch the lights on in 5 different point in this room, so that the room can be perfectly lit even at night.

There was a big mirror in my room, in addition to a medium-sized mirror in the bathroom.

The window frames are renovated and there is a double glazing; they isolate perfectly sounds coming from the street.
Curtains are double, and so the bright southern sun did not awake me too early in the morning!
There is an internet and TV set, with English-speaking channel BBC world.

There is a small fridge in the room so that I could bring and store whatever food I wished. There are some basic drinks in the fridge provided by the hotel.

The hotel is within 5-minutes walk to the train station, to the bus station, the beach and yacht port, to the famous Picasso museum, and Fort Caree. There are plenty of playgrounds for children in the area.

I didn't take breakfast, and bought yogurts in the nearby supermarket intstead. (There is plenty of big and small supermarkets within 3 minutes walk.) I put the yougurts in the fridge, and this made my breakfasts for the whole week.

There is a free express bus running from Place de Gaulle (2 minutes walk from the hotel) to the industrial park Sophia Antipolis every 20 minutes. I had no problems at all to get to work!

Within a 7 minutes walk from the hotel, there is a big public swimming pool, where the Olympic Champion 2008 Alain Bernard used to train. The swimming pool is open for public, for a small fee 2 Euros.
It's a treat for those who love truly big and deep swimming pools!

The hotel is conveniently located right in the centre of Antibes, and yet my room was so thoughtfully equipped that I was not disturbed by street noises, and could easily relax in the evenings. The staff is very nice.

This hotel is alright. The room was clean and a good size with a big bathroom, which was stocked well and also very clean. The AC worked well, and the room was quiet at night. Two twin beds were pushed together to make a "double". A plus was the free wifi available throughout the hotel, gaudily advertised on the outside of the hotel. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the old town, but quite convenient for those arriving from the airport by bus - the stop at Dugommier is about 200 meters away. I also think it's nice to have a hotel slightly outside the center so one can get away from the tourists and feel the pulse of everyday life.

Still, I consider this place a little rough around the edges, so don't be surprised to find a big stain on the carpet or a crack in the wall. To us it didn't matter because the bathroom and sheets were very clean, and anyway, it is not so easy to find a hotel in Antibes for 65 Euros, it at all.

Another note: when we arrived to check in, we were told that our reservations did not exist and that the hotel was full. This was strange given that we made the reservation by telephone and confirmed a week prior. Anyway, a room suddenly became available.

Average place for those looking to spend a night and more interested in practicality than amenities.

We arrived in Antibes with nowhere to stay and arranged our hotel through the tourist office. We weren't expecting much, as it's only a 2*, but I was pleasantly surprised. OK, it's not the Ritz, but it was clean, well-equipped (much better than the 3* we stayed in in Grasse) and in a great location between the station and the town. Only 5 minutes walk from each. Staff were genuinely very friendly and all spoke excellent English. We don't normally pay for hotel breakfasts in France, but at only 6Euros it was excellent value. We had two nights in this lovely town and it only cost us about 80 quid all in. A definite gem!

This 2 * hotel is a rare gem in Antibes..... You have to bear in mind that it is a 2* so you can't expect the Hilton. Staff are super friendly and very helpful, rooms are reasonable in size and condition and now all have flat screen TV's, the towels need changing and the bathrooms a bit of renovating but for the price you can't go wrong, there is even a fridge in the rooms. There is a 24hr reception so if arriving late, just let them know and they will hold your room, also a garage for an extra 5 euro per night which really is a godsend..... bit tight and narrow but is invaluable for the area. Not directly in the centre of town, a 5 -10 min walk but really not a problem.... ENJOY!
