Marineland is by far the best of its kind and must be seen to be believed. The orca show is probably the most spectacular given the wider variety of actions that they can perform over the other shows but neither are disappointing. The only negatives I would draw from my 2 visits are the complete lack of English language during the shows (or the fact that this was not indicated which was odd because automated start messages were in English, French and italian) the other small matter is that of queues and the frenchs equal lack of understanding of how to do this and that queuing does not and cannot mean that everyone has a right to be in front of everyone else. A great day out for all the family nonetheless.

We knew that this is no Sea World, but when you live in the area, you should at least give it a try.
The park itself is 4 parks into 1 (Marineland, Farm, Gold and Aquapark). One the plus side, its rather small comparied to the parks we have been to in the US, so you can actually go to all 4 in one day with out having to run around like a head-less chicken.
The 3 main shows to watch are the Dolphin, Killer Whale and Sea Lions. They are all very nice (Especially the Dolphin show which we loved more than both Sea Worlds in San Diego and Orlando)
Having said that, the Park needs a face lift. Its aging and it shows it. The food stands are not that good and not Theme related.
All in all it was a nice day out. Would we go again, nah dont think so!!!!

When we first arrived in Nice, we were all quite exited to visit Marineland, and my son was virtually hysterical with anticipation of our visit. This was our first mistake. The park itself is pretty small, tiny, even, especially if you've visited a sea-world or similar, and a great deal of its space seems to have been given over to commercial ventures (I've never had so many opportunities to buy nautically themed Playmobil!). Furthermore, our expereinces of the animals was more than a little disturbing, with all of the tanks available for the animals seeming rather small (almost peversely so, given that the Med can be seen from virtually anywhere in the park), and the cold-climate creatures (such as the sickly-looking Polar Bear & bald, seemingly sunburnt penguins) did not appear to be well cared for. Overall: disappointing & more than a little disturbing.

We went as a family of five plus two grandparents. We bought tickets that allowed 4 adults and 3 kids to go to the sea world park and the water slide place once each as long as within 6 days. The tickets cost 330 Euros!
The sea world place is essentially a killer whale show, a sea lion show and a dolphin show. Not much else at all to see. The shows are OK, but nothing special.
The water slide place is pretty tame compared to others we've been to, and really busy - even though we arrived at 10.30am. The queues for the better slides were at least 20 mins and more than 10 mins even for the smaller ones. They are very strict about height - not allowing our 6 year old daughter who is 118cm and a competent swimmer on to really slow slides because she wasn't 120cm.
On top of the 330 Euros, we had to pay an additional 18 euros for the pleasure of parking and 9 euros to put our bag in a locker. Overall I think this is a real rip off of a place and really not that great even if it was half the price.
