Having been here several time I would highly recommend this for a special evening. The food is always good if not the best but one cannot fail to love the setting and the view. Add the history and this has all the trappings of a very special place.

Well worth popping in for sundowners even if you don't eat. Note if you would like to eat in the formal restaurant you will require a jacket, if you don't have one with you they will be happy to provide you with one and you may notice several gents in the same one!

Downstairs is more informal although they do prefer long trousers for men in the evenings.

This is no doubt one of the best places on the Riviera but beware unless you are feeling pretty flush costs can mount up but again you do not go here for a bargain. Go on treat yourself and stay the night or three.

The pool is lovely too and well worth spending a day

My family have been coming every year for the past seven years to this wonderful hotel located in idyllic gardens on the Cap between Antibes and Juan Les Pins. It is a very famous hotel, indeed iconic, owing its fame to its reputation of providing luxury and comfort over many years. It also owes it's fame to the number of celebrities who have also stayed there.

It never disappoints.

The main hotel provides various types of rooms, all of which are beautifully appointed. Eden Rock, the other building located by the swimming pool, on the beachfront, has much larger rooms, but equally luxurious.

It would be pointless to to go through all the amenities the hotel provides since one can easily go to its web site. However what the web site will not tell you are the small personal touches that the hotel offers. Guest Relations are brilliantly handled by the manager, Jean-Jaques Socquer Juglard; and the Head Concierge, Giles Bertolino adds bundles of humour to his many tasks, pleasing the guests. Reception never fails to sort out problems (Mounia looked after me brilliantly).

This year the hotel has added a few improvements such as a champagne bar on the terrace at Eden Roc...I'm not sure how successful this will be after dinner. People do not want champagne after dinner....they prefer a digestif or an infusion. I suggest they expand the bar into a fully operating one providing all types of drinks. The fitness centre is vastly improved with new machinery and weights. I was very impressed with the new lay out.

It's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. indeed the prices are what you expect for a top class hotel, but you don't get the feeling that you are being ripped off.

I am so looking forward to going back next year.

Stayed for 5 nights in August. Check in and you will not want to leave - you have been warned. As exclusive and upmarket as this hotel is, it does not have a stuffiness that other hotels in this bracket may have. The staff are extremely courteous, professional and charming, the rooms are up to date and luxurious, the grounds immaculate and the food offer splendid. I hope others enjoy their stay as much as our family of four did

This year my wife and I had the good fortune and privilege to return to Hotel du Cap for a second consecutive year. It is a place that is hard to part with and hard not to repeat.

In the most simple of terms, everything at the hotel is simply better than is competitors. The buildings are more beautiful; the grounds more immaculate; the staff more refined and professional; the pool more jaw dropping and the food more delicious. It is indeed a special place.

This year, we asked to stay in the Eden Roc Pavilion which is located closer to the sea, pool and restaurants. While we very much enjoyed our stay at the Main Building last summer, the Pavilion was a big enhancement for us. It's proximity to the sea and pool offered both great convenience and views.

The hotel made significant additions this year. The new champagne bar is a major bonus and adds a great spot for a night cap. The renovations to the exercise facility are terrific.

We simply cannot say enough good things about the hotel. Yes, it is expensive but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Do yourselves a favour pay the premium to be here, you will not regret it.

Had a great day at the beach followed by a delicious lunch and finally relaxation in the spa. All in all have a lot to offer with great customer service, excellent views and total serenity. The clientele is also very friendly and talkative. The pool is seawater and the services include diving instructors and swimming lessons.
