My wife and I have stayed in Patio Vauban for at least 3 weeks four of the last four years and are already planning our return next year.
Firstly, the flat is as advertised and in excellent shape. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room are all great spaces and we have cooked a many a wonderful meal with fish and produce from the nearby market.
While we spent much of our time on the beach, shopping, or exploring the Cote d’Azure, we would always look forward to returning the cool and calm of the flat before cooking or heading out for dinner. The living room is perfect for relaxing and the large, open floor plan make the space so breezy and comfortable, even on the warmest of days.
We enjoyed our meals on the terrace and then retired to living room to read, watch movies on the large TV, and or take a nap on the huge sofa.
Antibes is a fantastic town and the local market is an amazing place for fresh, seasonal seafood, vegetables, fruits, and artisanal meats and cheeses. If cooking is not on your list of things to do then the restaurant scene is really great, with everything from Michelin rated restaurants to simple beach food.
One great point about the location is being close to the beach, the markets, and the train station which helps when you want to pop over to Nice, Cannes, or interior.
