“Picasso is still alive!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

The beautiful Grimaldi castle host the Picasso Museum, in the old city of Antibes. You can easily reach it by foot from the train station through the vieil Antibes (15 min). Close to plage de la Gravette (7 min by foot) on the left and to plage du Ponteil on the right (10-15 min by foot). Very delightful place to visit, not only for the museum but also because of the place itself: there is a gorgeus sea and coastal viewpoint from above.
Opening: Tuesday to Sunday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Closed: Monday.

“Interesting introduction to Picasso”
Reviewed April 4, 2014 via mobile

We had a day visit to here whilst in Nice and popped in to the museum. excellent collection. Good introduction in English to Picasso and his involvement in the area. Some interesting pieces of work with good explanations. I really enjoyed the ceramics. Worth a visit.

“Lovely pieces and light”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

Wondeful, as ever, to see some pieces I've mostly seen on posters etc. Lovely buildong (chateau) which lets the light in, in all the right places.

“Go to see Picasso before Picasso.”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

It is a very interesting place in Antibes. In addition to the work by Picasso, the museum also featuring the work from many other artists about the same time of Picasso.

It looks like this is the time and place that Picasso transformed into the Picasso we mostly know today.

One thing worth mentioning is the garden outside the museum overlook the Mediterranean Sea. The atmosphere is relaxing.

Go check it out yourself.

“Interesting Museum”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

This museum has some nice pieces and some strange ones I have never seen before. It does not hold a candle to the one in Paris that is STILL under renovations. But will do when the other is not available.
