My husband and I stayed at La Place for 3 nights in June and absolutely loved it! Great location (in Old Town with many excellent restaurants all within a few minutes walk), beautiful rooms, short walk to the beach, spotless accommodation and excellent service. Of note, there is no lift (must carry suitcases, although this did not pose a problem for us) and the restaurant is no longer serving supper (but does do breakfast and drinks/small bites in their very nice sitting area). We absolutely loved Antibes and would return to La Place in a heartbeat!

What can one say about this little gem of a hotel that hasn't been said already? We stayed for a whole fortnight and have never been made so welcome nor had our sometimes awkward requests so cheerfully met anywhere else. Words like 'kind' and 'caring' are not often applied to hotels, but Bernadette and her charming staff all merit this description. We ended up thinking of them as friends and it was actually quite emotional to have to leave them at the end of our stay. As for the practicalities, the hotel's location is ideal for getting to know the town and its closeness to the local bus station (which only operates until early evening) means you can take full advantage of the cheap and efficient Envirobus services. The rooms are not the largest in the world, but they are quiet, comfortable, modern and spotless. Don't be put off by the lack of a lift unless you have really serious mobility problems.

Room Tip: Do email Bernadette in advance if you have any special needs and she will do her best to meet them.

This attractive hotel is perfectly located about a 3-minute walk from the pedestrian areas of the old town and a 10-minute walk from the beach. We stayed in a lovely room on the top floor with a balcony. The windows do a good job of soundproofing so noise from traffic is not a problem. Due to space limitations, the hotel does not have an elevator, and my husband grumbled a little about having to pull our bags up three flights of stairs. However, we both agreed that it was worth the effort! The breakfast buffet is excellent, with fresh fruit salad and freshly made scrambled eggs in addition to a variety of meats and cheeses. The staff really go the extra mile. We were fortunate enough to find a parking space in the street right outside the hotel, but we had to put more coins in the meter in mid-afternoon. No problem, says the receptionist, you go to the beach, I'll feed the parking meter! We woul definitely stay here again.

We had originally wanted to abandon our plans to stay in Antibes, but we are so glad we came!

La Place hotel was lovely! Had a great bar at the entrance which seems like a lovely place to chill out, and although we arrived early, the lady kindly checked us in when she found out that there was a room available for us.

The room was beautiful, clean, well -designed n spacious enough for us with our two luggages. It was a very pleasant surprise as we never expected such a great place for the price we paid. Bathroom was clean n comes with shampoo, lotion etc. the bed gave us a lovely nap. (Just a note, we have to take the stairs to get to our room. But that wasn't a big issue for us).

The hotel is in the old town area, so everywhere is within walking distance. It is about 15min walk from train station though. One thing we saw (but didn't get to use) was that the bus station was just at the doorstep, so it seems day trips out to nearby towns is pretty convenient.

Monoprix n Carrefour are all nearby so u can easily walk to get some water, fruits if you so please. Many cases/restaurants are nearby whether u need a quick snack or a dine-in.

We also had a great experience with the reception lady who readily gave us hot water in tea pots with cups when we said we wanted to make our own tea in the room. (even gave us a small biscotti for our tea!)

A very pleasant stay! (P.s. there's a wonderful bakery near to the hotel!!)

I was lucky to stumble upon this place after walking around the whole town looking for a decent place to stay.I loved it. Originally I booked for 2 nights but found it so nice and convenient that I extended for an extra three. I would also like to mention the help and honesty that I received from the owner - Bernadette. On checking out, the young girl on reception inadvertently overcharged my debit card and I probably would never have noticed the mistake but I was promptly notified by Bernadette via email and she took measures to reimburse me.It says a lot about the way the hotel is run.

We spent two nights here and were not disappointed. It is exactly what it sets out to be: a decent, unpretentious hotel in a great location on the edge of the old town with a focus on the things that matter. The staff went out of their way to help us, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the room spotless and tastefully decorated. If you are looking for a seaside view or poolside lounging, this is not your hotel, but it is the perfect hotel for a weekend city break and is good value for money. It is definitely to be recommended.

We spent 4 nights at La Place at the beginning of June and we loved it! The actual hotel is not very large, but it is very nice. It felt very homey. The hotel staff (Bernadette- the owner) and her associates was so helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive.
The hotel location is pretty convenient, close to the Old Town. The hotel is also very quiet since it is not off of a main street (which was nice at night). The rooms are clean, well kept. Good breakfast. The free Wi-Fi was speedy and in the room so extra bonus. Bernadette reserved parking space for our rented car just few minutes away from the Hotel, which was very convenient for us. Overall, I had a great experience at La Place! I only wish the room had been a little bit larger. And elevator will be useful to have. Definitely recommended to tourists.
