“Perfect on the first view only”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Modern, nice hotel, with sandy private beach. First impression was very good. On the second - the view from the window - grey stone wall in 3 meters - you even can not understand the weather outside! The breakfast was worse, I ever see - and it is in the 4 star hotel! And finally - you will not have any chance to rest at day time (14-16 hours)- personal has very noisy walky-talky`s or at least like to boom the doors at that time! If they will not clean your room between 14&15, forget about cleaning.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with ANY view and check the cleaning time if you like to rest daily.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for the time dedicated to your review! It is always painful when our guests are not satisfied with their experience among us. I feel terribly sorry you have been bothered while trying to rest, but unfortunately, the time lenght you mentioned in your comment is the busiest moment for the Housekeeping Department, as check-out is at 11am and check-in time is at 3pm...

Our buffet Breakfast is pretty complete, offering several options such as the Continental Breakfast, Wellness Breakfast and American Breakfast. Unfortunately it appears that it has not met your expectations.

Do not hesitate to contact me personally if you would like to try one of our wonderful sea view suites at the best conditions!

Kindest regards,

Stayed 3 nights at the royal hotel and we had a fab stay there. Best outstanding staff ever at the front desk, great staff at the restaurant and also at the beach club i just rather eating at the hotel restaurant. Very and modern room way enough big for us : superior room, its a new approach of luxury hospitality and we love it, friendly but very pro. Not too much but.just enough.
Met the GM and talked with him and his background (travelled a lot and explain to us his way of hospitality : well done mister.....
Thanks to the Royal hotel for our great stay and see you soon

A modern restaurant with great food and a very friendly staff. The menu included a nice variation to the traditional French kitchen. The bar also looked cool, and offer music evenings.
Will also try the hotel next time!

Hotel is great, clean, modern and the room is quite large although typical hotel style. Bed very comfortable. The hidden gem is the restaurant / café out the front, at first you may be put off as it is part of the hotel, however the food is great, good staff and excellent service (for dinner). The breakfast is a bit basic for 15 Euro, and an extra 10 if you want hot (ie egg & bacon), however that the hotels pricing. Note however that whilst the hotel is on the beachfront, none of the rooms have views as there are apartments in the front complex, and the hotel rooms are behind. Onsite parking at 20 Euro is also a bit steep (limited offsite) however I guess that’s the premium for the location. It’s a 4½ rating easy

Room Tip: any room is ok, however none have views

Dear Sir,

I am truly thankful for your lovely review!
I am glad you enjoyed the comfort of the hotel and I also want to thank you on behalf of the whole "Café Royal" Team!

Although the price for the car park seems expensive, you are actually saving money by using our private and secured parking as all the public car paks around charge an average 2€/hour!!

The whole Team are looking forward to the pleasure of welcoming you again really soon!

Warmest regards from Antibes,

Stayed 5 nights. Nice location, allthough very noisy at night. VERY overpriced! 30€ pr person for deck chairs! Internet connection is a very old fashion solution.. You have to log on ALL the time, with different codes for different devices.
Some dags we had ask for housekeeping, they simply forget some rooms!!
Fitnesscenter is a (very small) joke!
We will nor be back, the are far better hotels in this area.

Dear Guests,

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us, even though it seems that we have not met your expectations...
I think it is not that fair to say that we are overpriced as we are just applying the "Riviera rates" - which are the same for any private beach around.

I regret you found the Fitness Center too small although it is very clean and modern!

If you were to change your mind regarding our Hotel, please feel free ton contact me personally in order to organize your stay at the best conditions,

Kindest regards,

This review applies to the beach location only
Total comfort, excellent sun-loungers, attentive staff cater for all your needs, clean and well maintained. Changing and shower facilities are excellent.
The food and drink is of high quality, though it is expensive!
A sun-lounger is 20 euros per day per person.
Highly recommended for a relaxing, pampering day on the beach in the South of France

Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. We would have benefitted from more local information, eg asked for the local supermarket and were directed to one 20mins walk away when there was another option within 5 mins walking distance. Perhaps more knowledge of customers' preferences would be helpful - eg British ordering tea and charging 5.40eur per tea bag was a bit much. However, the hotel was lovely, modern, clean and extremely convenient to the beach. The private beach was wonderful, well-staffed and staff very very attentive to bring drinks, towels, etc. The menu in the restaurant could have offered more varied, lighter options and the continental breakfast at 15eur was very limited and better options were available from the wonderful local cafes. Spa staff were also friendly and professional, spa and gym were well equipped and clean. We had massages that were very relaxing and a very nice treat.
..

Room Tip: Request sea view if possible.

Dear Miss,

Thank you very much for dedicating some time to share your experience among us.
I am glad you enjoyed the service from our staff who always suggest places to go or to shop, depending on what our customers request.

I am sorry you found the tea bag a little too pricy whereas you would be surprised to notice that we are actually cheaper than the other 4 or 5 stars hotels of the area!

But still, our greatest satisfaction comes from the fact that you had a very nice time taking advantage of our different facilities!

We truly hope to welcoming you again soon,

Kindest regards,
