If you fancy some variation in your French dishes and don't mind being a little cramped for space this may be the place for you. You will need to park a good walk away but the meal should be worth it. You choose from a short list of blackboarded items which will be carefully prepared to a high standard. Both the food and the wine seem a little expensive but non the less well worth a visit.

This is a lovely restaurant that only seat about 20 people, definitely no more. They generally only do one sitting from about 8pm, so definitely book ahead.
The menu changes each Tuesday and is limited to two entrees, two mains, and two desserts. But we are sure you will never be disappointed. We went twice, on two different weeks and each time just ordered one each of the courses so we could sample everything and we would rave about it all. There is generally one lighter and one heavier course, always a fish and always whatever is fresh and in season. If you saw the size of the kitchen in particularly the fridge you would understand how fresh the meal must be because you could only fit one or two days stock.
There is a fairly good wine menu to compliment the meals and the service is very smart, attentive and efficient. Loved this restaurant so much it is our favorites list.

but you have to book in advance (seats only 20). All the dishes we had were outstanding,
excellent quality and very tasteful. The owner prepares every course "a la minute" (so you
have to be a little patient) an it is served by his charming wife. The only difference between
a 2 star restaurant and l'Armoise is the price: (€ 40.-- for a 3 course menu);

We found L'Armoise through Trip Advisor and had a delicious dinner there. It was exactly what we were looking for -- small and genuine. The chef works alone in the tiny and visible kitchen, while the server doubles as a dishwasher. The menu is small but well-chosen and the prices are reasonable. I'd strongly recommend it.

We have been twice for dinner. The kitchen is open to the room, the chef/proprietor and waiter are friendly and help make an occasion of the evening. Choice is limited, everything is fresh and good quality.
