“Much better than described”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We found this place by chance waiting for the Picasso musee or open after lunch. Pfect spot with great decor and a really nice terrace. The staff were friendly, the plat du jour and pasta de la mer were excellent and dessert was great too. All and a bottle of rose for 60 euros.
I thought it was great, would gladly go back so don't be put off.

“Great outdoor terace, average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

Probably the best outdoor sitting in Antibes, nice service, normal tourist food... This place has one of the best location in Antibes-few steps from the port and the local food market and a terasse were sun is shining till late afternoon (not shadowed from buildings around). It is the reason why, especially in winter, we come often. The service is very attentive, but the food just very average.
If you go, i would recommend simple dishes as mussels/moules/ with french fries, salads and so. I do not recommend fish (not bad taste, but small serve and generally unfrozen), fish soup (not home made, you can buy the same in every supermarket and just warm it) or even meat/duck/ dishes I believe to come from the freezer as well...

“Terrible this year”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

We went to this restaurant many times over the past few years and loved the food. However, this year it was terrible. I ordered the Salade des Chineurs and the emmental cheese was off (it had mould on it). I returned the salad and it came back with the mouldy cheese removed but the cheese was still old and horrible. In addition, a hair was now in the salad. We returned the salad again and asked for the bill. The staff's attitude was shocking. No apology and they made us feel bad for returning the salad. We won't turn again, which is a real shame as the food used to be good.

“Awful food and the service not better either”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

We had lunch there and first of all we didn't feel very welcome. We ordered steak of veil, salade nicoise and salmon. I guess it is not a good sign when the waitress doesn't ask how you like your steak done. The steak was more boiled than fried/grilled and far from tender. The nicoise had canned tuna, pale yellow eggs and looked nothing like a specialty but more like a 7-11 take away salad. The salmon was ok. Def. not somewhere we would try again, especially when the service is no more than minimum. Have no idea why people give this place good reviews.

“Good place to eat out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. Service was good and so was the food, which is also nicely presented. Given it's in the south of France, prices are ok, esp. considering you can eat much worse for the same money.
