but if you keep the windows closed and use the air conditioning instead, then its fine. The only reason I am giving this hotel a 4/5 rating is because it's family run and they are there to accommodate you. Breakfast was great, they had tons of recommendations for dinners in Avignon, and they also had a driver if you wanted to go anywhere like Chateauneuf du Pape (for a price). The bathrooms in the rooms are painfully small, and you can hear the announcements of the trains, but it is the best service you will ever receive in a hotel (and once you get used to the bathroom it's really a charming stay). It's just outside the city walls but walkable to everything within the city walls. If you get a chance, ask the owner about his time working on the oil platforms -- very interesting story!
