Description: "Le Petit Gourmand" is a typical french food small restaurant providing home made meals cooked by the Chef close to you as if you were at home. 16 seats inside and double possible outside during the beautiful season (outside terrace here may be used more than 6 months per year from Easter). We have a special meal called "Secca d'Entrevaux" (thin slices of dried beef with pesto, potatoe in a owen, hot melted cheese and mesclun). Other "must": fresh pastas with truffle, or fresh raviolis with foie gras inside and a few desserts that you may find all in our "Café Gourmand".The rest of the dishes are proposed according to the season.

We walked by this small charming restaurant on our first day and I wanted to come back because I loved the green polka dotted tablecloths. We saw it was highly recommended on trip advisors and rent back for lunch the following day. So glad we did because it was one of our best meals in Avignon. We were taken care of by the daughter and mother and served wonderful home cooked meals. A not to be missed gem!

If it hadn't been for TA we would never have booked this place, but we're so glad that we did as it was the best dining experience we had during our trip in the South of France. From the outside it looks like a basic little café and nothing special, and it's very small with only 6 or 7 tables inside. But the couple who run it are incredibly friendly and helpful and clearly passionate about what they do. The food was relatively simple but done perfectly and so delicious: truffle linguine and foie gras ravioli really stood out. A casual family feel, but with truly delicious and very good value food. Make sure to book though!

We loved everything about our visit to this tiny gem. The owners were very careful to make sure we understood what we were getting. The food was the best of our whole trip so far. Seated inside you are practically in the kitchen. The owners were funny and warm, and it's hard to believe that they can manage all this so beautifully!!!

This place is perpetually full, do book a day in advance at least. Now, I rarely almost never rate anything on T.A at 5 out of 5 but LPG is indeed exceptional. It's not the top French restaurant in France of course but it's deserves a full rating when you consider the quality, freshness of the food, the service, the range and defintely the price. The hostess is clearly a gourmand and both husband and wife love serving. We arrive in the afternoon without reservation and they were full and so we decided to come later for dinner. Of course, we stupdily didn't reserve. Seeing us with an infant and child in tow, the hostess very kindly gave us a table and took the risk of rearranging her reservation plans (it all worked out very well indeed, no one had to wait). Over 2 days, we had parmentier de carnard, cailles with risotto, trio of tomatoes salad (twice), ravioli foie gras, ravioli pistou, tagliatelles saumon, cafe gourmand, lemon meringue tart, chocolate mousse, fondant au chocolate. Everything was delicious! The food are all prepared on the spot to order including those for kids. It's wonderful that everything on the menu could be halved in portion and price for children. The produce are all very fresh, the aroma is remarkable. The restaurant is filled with the smell of cooking which is very appetising. Both hosts are very attentive and comes round checking to ensure everything is fine. We had wanted to go for a 3rd time but they are closed on Sundays. We left without trying the variety of hot chocolate which I was very interested in. The sauces for the raviolis, foie gras and pistou are incredibly good, do try. After, the plate of the day varies, we had tried only 2. The desserts are typically French and a must to end a meal. It is truly not expensive and more than fair in the pricing when you consider how fresh the food are, the sauces are all homemade, the quality in taste and the portion sizes. It wass really 2 great happy meals we had.

A small restaurant of 6 tables owned by a very friendly couple. A short "a la carte", but everything is really delicious. The must are Raviolis au Foie Gras and Tagliatelle a la Truffle.
