Thanks, Julie for your swift correspondence, and also to your parents who welcomed us most graciously into this bright and nicely furnished flat.
The historic centre of Avignon has a lot less traffic that most cities, and this lovely apartment is a quiet oasis above the rooftops.
The great location of this apartment - less than 10 minutes walk to the Palais du Papes and Place l'Horage and with great views from the balconies - only added to our enjoyment of our stay in Avignon. Mons & Madame Martin were most welcoming and helpful. It was so good to come "home" each afternoon to this comfortable and well equipped apartment after a busy day of sightseeing. Highly recommended!
This air-conditioned flat was a real treat to stay in; ideally located with good local bus service running circular route towards the station/tourist office every few minutes.
Within walking distance of main attractions and surrounded by good shopping and restaurants. The flat was spotlessly clean and bright. It had everything you'd need from a holiday home. We found the owners very helpful.
5 th floor light and spacious, perfectly placed apartment overlooking atmospheric square in old town. Easy access to all Avignon has to offer to tourists. Delightful, helpful owners. Sunny balcony a great bonus.
The flat was just as described. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring Avignon with the Place Horlogie, Palais des Papes, and Les Halles - all within a few minutes walk.Avignon Centre Gare is about 15 minutes walk. The a/c (and the lift) proved essential as the temperatures nudged 40c - sheer bliss after returning from sightseeing! There is also the balcony which provides rooftop views and a great place to chill out with a drink. All our correspondence with Julie was straightforward and although she wan't there during our stay, we were catered for by lovely neighbour Noelle. A great place to stay for anyone visiting Avignon. Highly recommended!
This apartment was a great choice. A lovely , spacious apartment in a great location within the walls of Avignon. On the top floor of the building with a fantastic terrace , a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening or to enjoy a coffee in the mornings. The apartment building has a lift so being on the 5th floor is no problem at all. As well as being perfectly equipped with all the requirements of home , an added extra - wonderful, friendly neighbours.
The Palais des Papes and numerous other essential attractions are within steps of the apartment. The location is also a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding towns and villages.
As well as being so close to the 'tourist' heart of this ancient city, the location of the apartment allows one to share in the life of the residents of Avignon. Located right next to Les Halles , one shops with the local residents. An interesting bric-a-brac market takes over the shady square each Tuesday and Thursday. A great selection of local shops and Carrefour supermarkets are practically on the doorstep as well as a great mix of local shops , from shoe shops, dress shops, tourist shops, hairdressers and everything in between. And then literally around the corner , off the Rue de la Republique , one finds a huge selection of premium brand shops selling luxury items.
A huge selection of restaurants to choose from but in the well equipped and cool apartment one could happily choose to eat 'at home'.
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks as we wanted to use Avignon as a base to visit other places by public transport. The apartment was in an excellent location for this, but was also close to a fantastic covered market, a useful Carrefour supermarket, and countless really nice restaurants. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, airy and well equipped. The air conditioning units in the living room and the bedroom were very efficient. The super-kingsize bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped (washing machine, small dishwasher, microwave and hob but no oven). We didn't meet the owners but Noelle, who lives in the same building, was very helpful.
