“Excellent!”

After reading the reviews, we were in Avignon for the afternoon and decided to try our luck. We got a table straight away but it seemed to be the last one. From start to finish the food was amazing. We would especially recommend the duck! The atmosphere was perfect and the hostess very accommodating! This restaurant definitely deserves its #1 rating!

“No.1 for very good reasons”

We went to this beautiful restaurant as a gang of four. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood just 2 minutes from the Main Street in the old city. There really is nothing to be complained about this place, excellent food, good ambience, very professional and English speaking hostess. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again!

“Excellent food & service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

I made reservations in advance to dine here. I understand its a small restaurant and I'm so glad we were able to dine here. Service was excellent, so was the food. Salmon tartar- so tasty and flavors just burst in my mouth. My husband had pastis for the first time and he liked it. She recommended just the right amount of water to mix with the pastis. My husband also had the duck plate. Delicious.
I love the location of the restuarant, far away from the main square, far away from the noise. Good value for the money for the 2 course meal.

“This restaurant deserves its # 1 rating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

I have been the hotel and restaurant business for over 40 years and I approach these ratings with a great deal of caution.

However, this one I really get, what an honest, unpretentious and great little find.

The only downside is that it is a bit of the beaten track.

Here are the upsides-, perfectly bi-lingual professional couple who own the restaurant. He is in the kitchen, she runs the front of house. Antonia is charming and attentive, never misses a beat. The sense of pride in their place can be seen in everything they do - the place is spotless!!

Importantly they are open on Sundays!!!

The food is prix fix - 2 or 3 courses. The menu is creative and diverse, the dishes are well presented and represent extraordinary value for money. The goat cheese in filo dough and the duck were simply excellent.

The wine list was a bit small but adequate, but once again very reasonable priced and the wines presented at perfect temperature.

We had a great dinner and will recommend it to all our friends who come to Avignon.

“Best dining experience in Avignon.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Exceptional food, exceptional service. This is the one place you don't want to miss. Reservations are a must. Call before you come to Avignon because it may be difficult to get in otherwise.

I had the eggplant dish which came with a portion of polenta and mozzarella, tomatoes with pesto drizzled on top. Very good.
Spouse had the duck in a raspberry balsamic reduction. Best duck dish ever.

The hostess/waitress was so efficient waiting on people that we were really impressed.
