The hotel is, for the most part, in a beautiful 16th century Jesuit school. It's superbly located in the centre of Avignon. Our room was in a modern wing, and although it made good use of the space available, felt a bit more like a university halls of residence room (albeit a nice one) than a four-star hotel. The finish and fittings were a little tired, and given it is not a cheap option, didn't deliver fantastic value for money. None the less, it was good enough - just not great.
The art gallery just around the corner is well worth a visit - stunning building with very good collections and visiting exhibitions.More
