We stayed for two night recently (4 couples). The hotel is very interesting and a great place to stay in the centre of Avignon. The arrangement for parking were good as was the service provided by all the staff. It was quite disappointing that the bar and restaurant were closed to guests on the nights of our stay. That was however compensated for by good meals at nearby restaurants. The four rooms we had were good except for the ventilation - once we worked out the opening of the skylight all was comfortable. Would stay again though check facilities availability.

Our tour stayed here 3 nights while in Avignon. We were with Insight Vacations.
The hotel is in a great location. I can only rate this hotel on the experience my husband and I had. We checked in on September 26. Our first room was large enough for one person(rm 420).One window that opened to roof tiles with pigeons. NO VIEW AND NO AIR-CONDITIONING. They said they turn it off because it’s passed the summer. It was 80 degrees everyday and sunny while we were there!
We requested another room. The girl at desk said she had 2 rooms left. Room 1 you could hear vibrations from the kitchen. Room 2 the bathroom was downstairs. We opted for room 2. It had 5 windows, terrible view of employee parking lot but at this point we felt it was the best choice. We could at least open windows!
That evening, while getting ready for bed we realized we were below the kitchen (room 129) employees talking, throwing out garbage. During the night I was woken by mosquito since we had room windows open and later at 4:28 am laundry pick-up and at 7:30 am another delivery.
Needless to say we were pretty tired, but decided to go out and about . We requested a fan before we headed out so we could at least get some rest that evening and explained the noise situation. Later that day, (3:30) return to our room to find NO FAN AND THE ROOM NOT CLEANED! We went to the desk and they motion to a box of room keys... I guess to let us know they were busy checking people in???!!!!!
Terrible! My husband and I were aggravated but never rude asked where the bar was and there was a bar with no bartender, but you had a phone to call for service. So we ordered 2 wines. NEVER AN APOLOGY and they did not even offer us the drinks as complimentary.
This hotel may be historical and charming you need to leave AC running, you need to allocate rooms correctly!

Stayed here for three nights on tour of Provence. First impression was that the courtyard to the hotel was stunning. However - the kettle in room didn’t work for two nights despit3 being advised more than once. A light did not work above bed. And worst of all the fridge didn’t work in room and was smelly. All these problems were reported several times and when we left the fridge hadn’t been sorted. On check out mentioned all these problems that spoiled our stay bit with absolutely no response from girl on reception. This is absolutely basic - a simple apology would have been appreciated when she was aware of all the problems. We will therefore never return or recommend. Now staying at a hotel where the staff could not be more pleasant or helpful.

This is a cozy wonderful hotel. The staff is attentive and really really helpful especially is you do not speak French. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and filled with great products from L’Occitane. Our room was on the first floor. There was a sitting area adjoining sliding glass doors that opened into a beautiful private park. Awesomeness!!!!!

The hotel is just beautiful and historical. Converted from a Jesuit cloister, you will be awed by its history and splendor.

I did wish that I had opted to stay in the old quarters to further experience the magic of the place. The new quarters were spacious, modern and well appointed, but you always wonder if it would have been more special in the older wing.

Though the hotel is beautiful, it feels a little cold and distant. Maybe because of its history and architecture. The people at the reception were friendly enough, and gave us good recommendations for restaurants. We went with our dog who enjoyed being in the garden. Plenty of outdoor space for the dog to spend time in.

There is nothing to complain about really, but it just lacks that spark for me to give it 5 stars. Just a little more effort and thought would have made all the difference.
