I think Tartines are basically 'toasties', but these ones are really really good ones. I had the eggplant and chevre - it came out as a large piece of bread, beautifully cooked eggplant ragout kind of thing with chevre cheese over the top. Then the raspberry tart - perfect creme anglais-y underneath and piles of raspberries. Great food, I'm getting hungry thinking of it. Very reasonably priced too.
Ambience is casual - probably more of a lunch place, but if I had to eat dinner here, I don't think I'd be suffering too much!
