Having travelled extensively in North Africa including Morocco we went to the Riad expecting something special. It failed to deliver and although it has a Moroccan theme and presents North African dishes I'm a little surprised that reviews suggest it provides authentic and quality food. We had a tagine and a cous cous and both were quite frankly dissapointing as both lacked depth of flavour and were for the price not good value for money. Maybe we went on an off day or maybe our expectations were too high.
We really wanted this place to deliver but sadley its food was really only average.
Service was attentive and friendly.

Avignon was our home base for 2 weeks, and even though we usually try a different restaurant every night when we travel, we returned to Le Riad twice! Try the lamb tagine and the fig liqueur -- excellent!

One of the finest Morrocan meals I have eaten outside Morocco, which had great food.

Bistilla is the cinnamon, sugar and pigeon pie in pastry that is one of the finest Moroccan dishes...however try finding it in London and many other Moroccan Restaurants!

Good service, a delicious Moroccan fig liqueur which was unusual, and an excellent, varied choice of both cous-cous and tajine.

Definitely a cut above your average Moroccan Restaurant in France

We had an excellent meal in Le Riad. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was good. The Morroccan pastries and the mint tea are a must. We come to Avignon regularly and will definitely be come back to Le Riad.
