“Little gem at the little Pêche”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

This afternoon we were walking from the Pont d'Avignon back to our hotel and we found this gem of a restaurant. We went to La Petite Pêche tonight and we cannot recommend this restaurant too highly. The food is delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and efficient. We started with grilled sardines which were fresh and just delicious. We then had daurade and sea bass with vegetables and they were both perfectly cooked. This was accompanied by a wine which the proprietor recommended and which was excellent. This was undoubtedly the best meal and the best value that we have had in Avignon over the last week.
PS - we returned to this restaurant on our last night and we delighted that the food and service was just as good as it was on our first visit.

“Casual atmosphere, great food”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Quiet location, not overly busy, but don't be fooled. Fantastic food, all seafood. Simple dishes, but seriously tasty. We lie our food and this really hit the mark (assuming you like seafood). There is only seafood on the simple menu, but be breach, it's great. Cuttlefish salad like a terrific calamari salad. Awesome! Sea bass terrific. All food great, great price, really happy with wine.
Enjoy!

“top fish”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

a small fish restaurant ,easy walk from the central tourist area , we both had grilled sardines followed by the sea bream , it was cooked to perfection , if you like fish and you your happy to have a simple good quality meal this place to go. service was a bit rough eg we were given our water and not asked if we wanted another drink , but that aside 55 euro for 2 courses and a beer, hunt down this restaurant ,its worth it.

“What a Find”

“What a find”
Every body that visits Avignon must try this fish restaurant. We had the sardines and to follow the Sea bass which was fantastic. At the close of the meal we asked if they would cook a Bouillabaisse for us. The did and we had a bouillabaisse to remember:- Red snapper, Monk fish ,Sea Bass and a beautiful white fish about £26 wine was £19 for a good bottle of white Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages. This restaurant has only about 30 covers but what a delight!

“Charming fish restaurant”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Tucked away just off the main tourist track between the Palais des Papes and the old town walls by the river is a small, delightful, mainly fish restaurant with friendly, relaxed service. Delicious food - well presented and fresh. A small menu reflecting seasonal produce and fish fresh from the market plus staples like the wonderful foie gras. Wooden tables, bentwood chairs in a simple but elegant setting. Gentle jazz music playing. The restaurant seems to be built onto part of a much older building and is next to the remains of the Roman forum. Buy the delicious thyme jelly made by the father of our charming hostess and admire her mother's quirky paintings of fish on pieces of driftwood. A family restaurant that is simple but stylish.
