“A must-see, inside and out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

A stunningly picturesque structure situated at the center of a lovely vale, and fronted by a postcard-perfect field of lavender in which monks and tourist alike may stroll, like a stately grand dame trailing a mantle of pale purple velvet.

“Marvellous piece of history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

We visited the Abbey on a very windy day which spoilt things a little. As much of the Abbey grounds are natural rock, sensible footwear is advisable. The history is interesting and its good to see that major long term restoration is taking place which fortunately at the moment isn't particularly disruptive to the visit. Certainly a place to visit when visting Arles which is only about 5 kms away. A buvette is available in the car park for refreshments

“an amazing site”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2012

Super atmospheric. The weather helps! When I was there it was very windy and cloudy, which made the place feel creepier and lonelier. Ruins stand majestically reminding us their former glory...
